Lucas Oil Semi Synthetic 10w-40 both sides and you can go twice as long between oil changes.

A tip is to add 10% of the Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer to the total refill capacity (90% oil / 10% HDOS) when doing your oil changes. If not comfortable using the 10w-40 there is a 20w-50 available or even the 15w-40 TBN Diesel oil too. The HDOS will not make your Clutch slip!

I've always had excellent luck with the Honda GN4 in the engine side and Honda 80W in the clutch side.

Bel-Ray Thumper 20w-50 in the engine and Bel-Ray Gear Saver in the trans. Been working perfect for me since 2004.

Dang I did a search for lucas oil, didn't realize this was from 2011. Is the semi synthetic 10w-40 a good oil to run ?? Been using the honda line oil but its 14.99 at my local shop!

This is what I have used in every bike we have had since 2007. 7.49 a quart at Oreily's. Used in 2006 CRF 450, KTM 65, YZ 85's, YZ 125, YZF 450 and 250, lawn mower and Onan generator in my toy hauler. Only oil I will buy. Is there a better oil? Maybe but I sure have had very luck with it so why change.

Still doing the same. No probs yet. No reason to change. Run the gear saver in my 2-stroke tranny's also. Been using it since 1985 !

Thanks for all the feed back Smile What is the benefit to using the moly in a 250 just better protected against breakdown? I looked at the hondaline and I have been running the moly blend.

How many of these motor oil threads are we going to see opened a week? Can we put a ban on them?

To the Newbies, please search before opening up some of these questions like; What motor oil is best?, What tire is best?, What coolant is best?, Should I use a bib?, What neck brace is best? ....there are tons of threads from the past you can review or maybe even revive instead of starting a new one.l

Swapped my valves to Kibblewhite (sp?) and never had any more problems.

I've always had excellent luck with the Honda GN4 in the engine side and Honda 80W in the clutch side.
This is also what I use and have never had an engine or transmission issue.

Change both every two rides and oil filter (hi-flo) every other oil change.
