For you and your loved one's....please check your rotor's, they can be like a razor !! I was doing a bit of cleaning to the bike and brushed my hand against the front rotor, just now cleaned the bloody mess off the floor and thought I would let ya'll know before someone else get's bitten. This is gonna hurt tomorrow !! Sad

No pic of bloody finger as proof of evidence.

#Fail

But it's true. They can be sharp. I've cut myself before cleaning the bike. The good news is that now you know and won't be doing it again.

They can slice your finger clean to the bone while rotating SLOWLY. Same for the rotors on bicycles. Keep your hands and those of your loved ones away from them!!

I think somebody else mentioned doing that lately too. You just catch an angle at the right way?

Take them off and throw them away so you don’t do it again. Brakes are over rated, they only slow you down.

Damn Ledger....hope you're good man. Haven't ever done that myself but thanks for the warning.

Which part of the disc got you? Right on the very edge across the 5 mm thick part where it meets the sides?

Bicycle rotors can also burn the living #^$@ out of you leg. I had a rotor print on my calf for most of last summer.

Don’t clean your bike. Problem solved.

Good public service reminder. I know of two people who have lost fingertips from rotors by picking the bike up by the bottom of the fork lugs to load into a pickup. I wonder if you could knock the edge off of the rotor with a file - Doesn't seem that would affect performance.

Sprockets, too... but not like you are imagining.

I was lifting my bike into the truck once. imagine this: front wheel already in the truck. I'm standing to the left of the bike with it leaning toward me. I grabbed the bottom of the swingarm, right at the axle, thumb on top, fingers at bottom. Lifted the rear of the bike up, rolled it into the truck, and the rotation of the wheel was enough motion for the INNER edge of the sprocket to slice the heel of my hand open like a Filet Mignon. There was a "C" shaped cut that ran from the base of my thumb almost to my wrist, palm side. Yeeeeouch!

Sharp buggers... Took a slide hammer whack on the pinky today, same shit. Not thinking. Be AWARE at all times, even if your action is routine. Lost flesh sucks.
