Preferred spanner wrench for rear shock on 2017 YZ250F?

I was going to pick one up, but a lot of the reviews (not specific to my bike) mention some serious teardown necessary to even use a spanner wrench.

Anyone know if that's true of a 2017 YZ250F?

I bought a Motion Pro one quite some time ago and its pretty worthless on all of the bikes I've tried it on. Older yz250f's, yz125/250, '17 yz250f, and a KTM 150. Try and keep the spring nut clean and it's pretty easy to just put the bike on a stand and manually turn the spring by hand.
