If you attended national championship amateur or professional races in the ‘80s and ‘90s, chances are you met Dr. Medsker. The guy simply loved motocross. Dr. Medsker’s son posted the following this morning about his father.
This morning my father
Dr. Dennis (Doc) Medsker passed away due to a major stroke. My brothers and I are doing the best we can to inform all of you that he has worked with and touched over the years. We will see what we can do about having a safe service due to this Covid 19 situation if at all possible. Know that he passed peacefully in his sleep and in his last days he was in good spirits.
My dad was many things throughout his lifetime. He was a pilot from a young age and served in the Air National Guard and Air Force. He flow in Vietnam with the Airlift Command and loved aviation.
He graduated from AASU and was on the gymnastics team where he was selected to go to the Olympics as an exhibitionist for the trampoline.
He then studied at Palmer Chiropractic College and got his doctorate in Chiropractics. He practiced in Atlanta for a short time and met Billy Liles and Gary Bailey and his love for medicine & competition combined and the rest was history. He bought a traveling clinic and set it up at the motocross events all over the nation, so he could work on many of you and your families. He was very passionate about motocross & fixing people and it was what truly made him tick. He loved you all and would want you to know that he is fine and going on his next journey. Until then, God speed.
Rest in peace dad.
