For me it’s:
1: Foster
2: Raha
3: Carmichael
4: McNeil
5: Durham

Foster and Raha’s are completely on a different level in terms of range of skills show in the video in my opinion. The range of locations and stuff that Raha did was so awesome. The opening dead engine backflip shot/line like a MTB video for Foster was just wow to me.

Carmichael’s surprised me, outside of his comfort zone I’d say and a solid entry.

McNeil’s is beautifully shot but a bit under whelming in what was actually done on the bike, mostly because I know Jarryd is capable of so much.

Durham’s felt like I watched the same jump from 10 different angles with a bunch of filler. Some small tech shots in there but they’re super overshadowed by what Raha and Foster did.

There was six people picked this year but Cody Webb got hurt at the last minute so they ended up with just five. Each entry is given 10k I believe to shoot their feature, color correct, edit, music etc...I think that’s the amount.

There’s a judged vote and a public vote, both with their own medals.

I never thought a dead engine backflip would work on a moto bike, that’s just insane to me.

Tough choice between Raha and Foster’s parts for me, bit were awesome. Raha’s whip over that 200+ foot gap and the ramp can we’re pretty insane though, and he took it to the streets, so he might get a slight nod.

All of them were great though, really good class this year.

edit. A few more watches and it’s foster raha ricky. Seen the hand drag in other sports, I don’t think I’ve seen it on a moto.

Foster finger drag and walk off wheelie were pretty cool.

I like RCs the best just because of the track skills. He still got it.

Raha... nah for me. I'm too old cause that music is garbage.

Last year was $12k all in, do what you want with it. Travel costs, filmer, music, build, etc. But there’s no cap if you want to spend more or have your sponsors support it. Winner of the judges vote gets $20k, the rest is just X Games medal and bragging rights.

Raha > Carmichael > Foster

I’m amazed at the street aspect of Raha’s. I grew up skating, riding BMX and snowboarding so street spots were always more fun and cool to see. I never thought I’d see such a street edit for freestyle MX but I’ll be damned. That was crazy. Some of those natural hits were just insane too. Where do people vote?

EDIT: I’m bumping Carmichael up to 2nd after watching them again. That video is amazingly shot and edited, wow!

Raha
Foster
RC

Raha was bangers and out of the ordinary the entire time, Foster was incredibly innovative and technical but with more filler, and RC is just bad ass. Loved seeing this from him and a deserved bronze.

McNeil didn't have enough, Durham I turned off halfway through because it was the same thing recycled over and over.

All incredibly talented athletes, and whilst we are keyboard warriors that can get away with being critical, all 5 were amazing clips. Kudos lads.

Foster with the Gold - Raha Silver - RC Bronze....

What six guys should get it next year?

Raha, Hodges, and Foster are likely a lock - Throw in RV, Team Fried, and TP199?

Man... I wish Raha just had a different sound track/Music. Something more suitable to a broader audience.
Only thing that holds him back. Other then that, the dudes a freak and got a set of peaches on him! some of them hits are crazy!

That transfer foster does over the two gaps in gnarly in person...That area is where we have a our harescamble training loops and not in a million years would I have saw that as any sort of jump...

Foster coasting into a backflip was some next level stuff. Only thing that would have been cooler would have been starting the bike in the air and blasting away from the landing. RC’s was cool but the editing was weird. Too much jumping around. Just hold the damn camera on him for a bit longer or zoom out a bit.

Foster and Raha on another level. However, Foster's could do without the whoop section.

All were great to watch. McNeil's soundtrack was like a micro trip in the best of ways. Have to give it to Foster and the dead engine flip

The music has nothing to do with the riding.
For some though, a video of this nature (contest-wise) is about every aspect. The on screen action, the mix of riding and styles, the actual quality and construction of the shots, the color correction, the edit layout and even the music.

RC wins by a country mile.

No music, just the sound of a bike, and cool riding. That is what moto is all about.

Durham's video was cool but it seemed like he tried to hard to be creative with the video editing.

To me, backflips and quarterpipes are not "real moto".

Dead engine flip was epic but the only “real Moto” vid was RC.
