So I've seem to have forgotten what appears to be the limited options (cost effective wise) on getting a replacement wheel set for my 2008. According to the websites , Tusk is not available nor is Moose racing. those would be right up my alley cost wise, any other ideas ? thanks in advance.

Why not just get rims and new spokes and lace them to your current hubs? A lot more cost effective than a brand new complete wheel set.

Edit: Warp 9 they have them for the RM 250. Not sure what the cost is but I'm assuming they'll be cheaper than Excel or DID.

I got my set from Keith at KSR about a month ago. And oh man....freakin sweet!! Got Gold Haan hubs and gold nipples , with black DID rims and silver bulldog spokes. Got a set of oversized Motostuff rotors to go with them.

Keith is super cool too btw. And for complete wheel sets...his prices are pretty damn fair.

And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Warp 9 is the way to go for cost effective options. They are good wheels, we do quite a few of them.

As already mentioned, the most cost effective way is to lace up some new wheels yourself using oem hubs. Its not that hard, plenty of videos if its your first time, well within the realm of a hobby hack mechanic. I built a new set using DID hoops on my oem hubs for far less then even a complete Warp9 wheel. Spoke wrench and Tusk Wheel Balance stand (or build yourself one). Cheap and easy.
