Might be a lot late to make that happen. Smile

I know, but he needs to do a warm up, TO WARM UP, and to dilute the hype and pressure of his first race back.

A phone call could make it happen.

He could totally play it down as a no pressure, fun, promo ride. Sign some autographs, ham it up for the camera.
A win for the promoter, Honda, Fox, and Kenny.

and then come back with the bit in his teeth.

Talk to Kenny for just a few mins and you'll quickly realize this is the exact opposite of what he'd desire. He will only lineup to win and he expects to battle for the win at A1 when he does make his comeback. He doesn't have an off switch, rolling around for tenth would be like an error in his brain.

Ok, but he should still do a warm up race before A1.

If he doesn't want to, I'd say he'd know best...I mean, it's not like he's won championships or anything...

With all due respect, I'm going to stubbornly disagree.
Then I'm going to get tickets to A1.

Trust me, that's obvious.

You should go tell him, I'm sure he'll listen to your stubbornness.

Man.....I know he'll be at A1 , but I hope to god that arm of his , is up to the task by then. He may be able haul ass and all the good stuff....but hopefully it's healed up and working properly enough to take an impact , or a hard block pass type move from another rider. And it's strong enough to get him through an entire night of racing. I guess we'll see. Hope so.

Is that A1 2018 or 2019?

I can't wait to see Kenny back, but I don't want to see him come back too soon and potentially make things worse. Either way the guy is going to kickass when he comes back no doubt about it.

This thread will make a lot more sense when A1 comes and roczen potentially says it's his first race back as his excuse for a less than stellar result.

Well shit man. BlinkBlink

The guy damaged his arm so bad that it damn near needed amputation....and exactly one year later , he's shooting to win his first race back , against the fastest SX riders on planet earth. I think we could all cut him some slack , and just hope that he can actually race at those speeds again. Or some what close to it.

I don't think roczen cares about the amount of slack we give him. I think he's just going to want the best result possible and the most points for the championship. I'm not saying he should go but I don't think it's a bad idea for him to get a race or two under his belt before it really matters for HIS goals.

There is always a lot of hype and energy at A1, you can literally feel the electricity in the air, anyone who has been there knows what I'm talking about.
Many riders just try to survive and come away with decent points, and that's not such a bad strategy.
Over the years riders who are coming back have been known to use the euro races as a warm up.

I know he wants to shoot for A1, but has he said he is going there to win? I hope he can be ready, but I think there will be a lot of disappointed people in this form. To come back after how bad his arm was fucked up is a miracle in itself. Now to come back & win, his first race back is near impossible. Not saying it can't be done, but not going to be a walk in the park like people think. IMOP the dude is a better MX racer anyways. I just don't see him killing it like he did first few rounds this year. People seem to forget how RD was on his ass the complete race round two. I got my money on MM25 & ET3 & 3rd place 20 seconds back!
