Watching Dungey from behind could pay dividends.

Well if they both get good starts Tomac will win. 4th to right on Dungeys rear wheel in a heat.

But if Tomac gets a bad start I think Dungey is too fast to catch. Hopefully both get a start and we get to see if Dungey has anything for Tomac.

OMG. I honestly can't remember the last time I was this excited over SX. I normally don't have a favorite rider, I just want to see good racing but since it came down to these two at a tie in points.... I have to root for the local boy Dungey! I remember sitting on my RM85 at Hixton in the starting queue and the announcer going nuts over "Dungey blitzing the whoops!" Granted, the whoops were huge for a guy like you or me, especially me at the time.

Fan boy has turned on. Let's go Dungey! But I'll still be stoked or Tomac if he gets it too. Damn, it's tough to pick a favorite. I'm pumped for anyone who does well!

Good job RD5.

Tomac steers that Monster (well, u know) with the rear wheel, just like RV. Shoot and point.

A lot of mental anguish for an orange

It won't be because Dungey is too fast to catch. It's because lap times are 45 seconds and this is a terrible cookie cutter track where everyone is doing the exact same thing. So basically the first 45 feet of the race is more important then the remaining 28 laps. Dumb.

Man I'm surprised at the best laps, i thought Tomac was visibly faster in the turns.

Who cares, it's a timed event. I'd rather them sell out different events nationally than keep returning to Anaheim or San Diego and barely sell seats. That's the beauty of SX. It's different every round.

Whoops will be the difference maker during the race after the start being #1 most important factor. Dungey doesn't have as much speed in the whoops, could be a setting issue. Lappers may also play a factor because I can see the top 2 lapping up past 6TH place in this one (which means Reed needs to GTFOOTW).

Does Dungey use the Prizm lenses for racing? Looks like clear lenses to me.

Lapped traffic could change the out come of the main event big time on this track, would be pretty short race if it was the typical 20 laps previously.

They might not hold up , the usually blow a flat spot down the middle of whoops like that.

I think this track has a unique set of keys the differs from other weeks , i'm gonna say the start will be key on this particular leg of the circuit.
