Before the event a lot of people were talking a lot about how the sand section was going to be horrible.

I thought it was the cherry ontop to what was already an amazing track with that long quadding rhythm lane. Which really separated a lot of people. Even the over under into the whoops were great.

Watching Justin Hill leap frog that Suzi every lap catching the leaders was very entertaining even for people who were first time watchers at the house I was at.

I want MORE OF THAT. Are there anymore tracks this year that are setup like that?

I loved it. Thought it added a much needed variable to the race. Wish we could see sand sections more often.

I'm sure the riders hated it because it was easy to make mistakes. That created good racing tho. I liked it.

I thought the sand was awesome but like OP mentioned... that rythym lane with numerous options was bitchin. Not that anyone cares but I'd rather have a rythym lane with tons of options instead of sand, although both are fun to watch

Bring on more sand, it will definitely help Our Guy's get better and faster and prepare them for that big Olympic race, ha. BTW, who was the Sandman last night, or best all around in that section ?

I think Hill looked fastest but ando was certainly the coolest to watch through it

Best track so far this season by a looong shot. Sand section and the rhythm lane before it were simply perfect!

Ferrandis looked like the most consistent 250 guy in the sand. Even though he won, Forkner looked like he had a couple of heart rate raising trips through.

I also agree with Steve and the general, best track so far this season. Hopefully they have the sand handy to bring into Daytona.

Sand good for one section and or a turn, if every turn is huge ruts it's not good for block passing which we love to watch

I loved the sand! I wish they do a turn, long straight, and another turn all sand.

I liked them. Why did they take out the other two
They didn't have enough Sand - it's a rare commodity in Florida.................

I say: make a whole damned track from Sand. It might not be a 'conventional SX' then, but it would be interesting. The "bounce , bounce, bounce , bounce . bounce, bounce, jumpety jump jump" on repeat, as my brother calls SX, could do with some variation to the vicious, glorified BMX tracks that they tend to be.

Surprised no one else is asking this. The original animated picture of the track showed the sand rhythm section but also 2 more sand corners... What gives?

I liked it but understand the riders perspective. Supercross setup are direct opposite of what you need in sand. Very easy to go over the bars if you are some millimetres to far forward on bike.
