Just getting some speculative opinions on how you think Joey will do in the 2020 Supercross season aboard the JGR Suzuki.
He looked seriously uncomfortable during the overseas events, although to his credit...he probably hadn't had much time on the bike, and it was basically bone stock from what Weege said. It looked like he was a click away from crashing out in the whoops each time he headed into them.
I hope he does well enough to rub Kawasaki's nose in it, frankly...but, how do you think he'll do in such a stacked 450 class this coming season?

The Shop
They are happy with their decision and long term investment.
I honestly doubt there will be any noses rubbed at Kawi by bringing on AC and letting Savatgy go. AC's future, potential and charisma is 10x.
I hope he puts his nose down and tests tests tests to find a good base setting because if he sticks with this setup it won’t end well.
Im sure if he comes out and wins both championships, Kawasaki won't be saying "ya know what, we're so glad we got rid of Joey.."
As to the OP. I see him in that 5-10 for sure. But that top 5 is awefully crowded....
Webb
Roczen
Tomac
Anderson
Musquin
AC
Barcia
Stewart
Brayton
Osborne
shit...i mean ten!!!!
I don't put much on off season races on a stock bike. 4 or 5 races into the season are a better indicator.
I don't think JGR is the best set up for a guy like JS, but it really was his only option. Due to the circumstances with riders and money, JGR is way behind on development of the current RMZ450. JGR's suspension guy left to start his own business and I don't know that he was really that good to begin with. I don't believe they have a strong database of supercross information on the current Suzuki. They don't have a have an experienced test rider to help develop the bike. The Suzuki factory has no racing department or other race teams to help provide information. Also JS won't have a teammate to help the testing. We will find out how good of a test rider JS is and how good the JGR team is. I don't know if he is the type of rider that can win on bike that is not 100%. I hope he proves everyone wrong and does well.
Pit Row
Unless they are willing to shell out serious clams, he’ll be riding a different bike in 2021.
Who is he going to? I thought Honda was set with Sexton and Roczen. You think Yamaha are going to put up the big coin to get him?
Joey only needs to find that little bit extra to be up with top few guys on a more regular basis.
Yet.
