This thread made me want to get a KX 250 as a winter project.
It also made me realize how much I miss watching JS.
I'm just gonna cry now.

I miss his energy when he was a teen and 20's before all the drama BS started.

In some of the pics I posted you can just see how focused he was.

I miss the two-stroke days. I'm glad they're coming back in some capacity in 2018. I just wish the 250 would be able to compete in the 250 class. That would be as close as we could get to have them back racing at the pro level.

Awesome pictures! Imagine having the 02, 03 and 04 outdoor seasons in good video quality to watch...

This blows me away how compressed the rear shock is considering how stiff he ran the suspension on that thing. RacerX had Jeff Emig test ride his 2005 SR250 and Jeff said the suspension was so stiff it hardly moved.

Amazing pictures in this thread. Man do I miss watching this guy rip these two strokes!! I’ll never forget watching him scrub over the tunnel at Kenworthys in 04. I’ve been a fan ever since. Now I just need to find me a 2004 KX125 for my next build!

Did you take that one yourself? It looks like it's for Michael Byrne, number 26, as shown on the silencer.

Either way, thanks for showing it, as I have a carbon fiber Pro Circuit silencer with a similar sticker that has 259 on it. I had wondered about the sticker.

No i think it is from Steel City 05. You are correct it is byrnes but i loved the factory two stroke equipment and since him and bubba was pretty much on the same i wanted to share it. The picture is not taken by me i dont remember how i got it.

And i love the fact Mitch actually produced the new silencers with the same material now for the public

Hey man you realise if you post less pictures per post it'll make the page shorter and not such a scroll fest?
Even clicking the last post thing, by the time the page loads it's still up near the top of a looooong page
Not asking you to post less pics just split them up into posts

Press PgUP or PgDN on the keyboard and it'll take you all the way up or all the way down the page. Just as fast scrolling on a phone.

I could split them up in smaller groups but then people will complain that I'm doing it to add posts to my count which I couldn't care less about. Can't win but I do understand your point of view. I'll try to keep that in mind going forward.

Yeah you've got over 5000 posts I don't think anyone would accuse you of that just to get a few more but it's also better if someone wants to quote a certain pic, but whatever ya wanna do I'm not here to tell you how to suck eggs haha

Makes me sad that people who didn't follow the sport when he was younger will never have a full appreciation of the way he rode.

Never really was a rooting fan of JS. So it's odd to me that at the same time, there was nobody that I'd rather watch ride. From Decoster, through Hannah, RJ, MC, RC, RV, Roczen and Tomac, on their fastest day none of them would beat Bubba on his fastest day. He combined the skill of a Bayle or Lechein, with the aggression of Hannah. Poetry and a street fight. That's why these Stew threads go so wild. People who remember just want one more glimpse of the magic.

The commercially available ones are not the same, actually. Factory had Ti hangers, not aluminum, for the largest difference.
