I would put them around a fox v2 or a step below a fly f2. In all honesty you wanna spend the most amount of money you can on a lid but with the mips system it seems good just depends on how well it fits you. But i would save another $100 or $150 and get you a bell moto 9. Best helmet ive ever worn and ive had shoei and 6D.

It's basically a step below the Fly F2. Both have MIPS but the TLD lid has a cheaper MSRP because of the shell material.

You can get a Bell MX-9 with MIPS under 200 bucks.

I wouldn't get all focused on MIPS. It's got multiple layers of foam that're more important than MIPS...in my experience.

Has anyone bought one of the SE4 Polyacrylite helmets yet? What are your thoughts on the plastic shell? It seems like a great helmet considering the $225-250 price. The TLD website says it is exactly the same internally as the more expensive SE4's. The only difference is the shell material.

I'm debating between the SE4 Polyacrylite and a closeout Bell Moto-9.

I would go with the TLD SE4. The reason these are so protective is the large amount of foam used for the front of the helmet. I use the regular SE4 and I don't think that the shell being a different material is that big of a deal. Is it still Snell approved? Not that Snell is all that great.
