Just went to my 1st Rockstar Canadian National...just watched a TWO STROKE go 1-1 in the 250s and...
SPOILER ALERT!
Watched Matt Goerke shred the 2nd Moto (after stalling while passing Cole Thompson for THE LEAD in the 1st Moto!...DAMN...he got 4th that moto 4/1 for 2nd O/A).
The atmosphere and the comraderie up there are BOTH awesome. Every National has an Amateur day on Saturday and their rule book is a lot more "fun", too.
If you're a Two Stroke Smoke Lover...go see a Canadian National...it is EPIC!
I'll be going to a couple more rounds and I think I'm gonna have to race on Saturday, too.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I used to love watching the Canadian races on Speed Channel. Almost more than the AMA races, at times. I love that they allow 250s in the 250 class I miss the 125 though, and it sucks that there's no true "small bike" class anymore. Oh well, at least 125s still existed when James was a young buck.
Two KTM 2-smokes in the top 10.
I'm think about where Jimmy D. would do here if he was here...
this is pretty cool , ride and camp for free ....

Kinda tough to challenge for a championship when you skip a round is it not?
Pit Row
The rulebook had 2 significant changes with regards to 2 strokes this year which were likely put in place under manufacturer pressure;
No engine mods from intake to exhaust, must be completely stock.
If you start the series on a 2 stroke you must finish on one and same holds true for a 4 stroke. This is being called the Kaven Benoit rule as last year he selected the 250T for deep loamy tracks and the 250F fro slicker tracks.
The only thing Special about that KTM250SX is it's rider.
Stock cylinder, stock head, stock piston. They opened up his engine and found..........nothing. All stock.
How do you justify building a time-bomb 50 +hp 250 4-stroke when you can put decent suspenders on a stock 2-stroke bike and go racing. and WIN??
Alessi 50cc 4-6 champion in 2021.....stamp it.
