Just went to my 1st Rockstar Canadian National...just watched a TWO STROKE go 1-1 in the 250s and...

SPOILER ALERT!

Watched Matt Goerke shred the 2nd Moto (after stalling while passing Cole Thompson for THE LEAD in the 1st Moto!...DAMN...he got 4th that moto 4/1 for 2nd O/A).

The atmosphere and the comraderie up there are BOTH awesome. Every National has an Amateur day on Saturday and their rule book is a lot more "fun", too.

If you're a Two Stroke Smoke Lover...go see a Canadian National...it is EPIC!

I'll be going to a couple more rounds and I think I'm gonna have to race on Saturday, too.

If only I knew a Canuck to take me to a race.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I used to love watching the Canadian races on Speed Channel. Almost more than the AMA races, at times. I love that they allow 250s in the 250 class WhistlingBlink I miss the 125 though, and it sucks that there's no true "small bike" class anymore. Oh well, at least 125s still existed when James was a young buck.

Damn Team Green wish I would've known you were going. Would have been great to meet you! My son and I just got home from Nanaimo. It was a great day of racing.

I'm happy for Kris Keefer also, he should be pumped on his results and improvements, that guy is a hero in my book, the 36 year old warrior!!!! I wish I could watch these race's,the announcing is pretty damn funny and the racing is good. Looks like Bobby Kiniry picked it up a notch also,I had a good time watching him in arenacross, guy crashes into a bulldozer, hops back on his bike and finishes the race, hard not to like that kind of determination!!

So Alessi did not race the first round?

Kinda tough to challenge for a championship when you skip a round is it not?

I still think it really sucks he's at the point of not competing for any title at all.

Probably covered b4

The rulebook had 2 significant changes with regards to 2 strokes this year which were likely put in place under manufacturer pressure;

No engine mods from intake to exhaust, must be completely stock.

If you start the series on a 2 stroke you must finish on one and same holds true for a 4 stroke. This is being called the Kaven Benoit rule as last year he selected the 250T for deep loamy tracks and the 250F fro slicker tracks.

I just listened to an interview with him and the cmrc pulled the cylinder off and spec'd it. Its all stock as rules state, but he lists rekluse as one of his sponsors, Im sure that helped on the that hardpan track.

Benoit's bike sounds like a healthy 250. Not a 300. Not anything special.

The only thing Special about that KTM250SX is it's rider.

That HAS to be a be a pain in the ass for the 4-stroke lovers!!

Stock cylinder, stock head, stock piston. They opened up his engine and found..........nothing. All stock.

How do you justify building a time-bomb 50 +hp 250 4-stroke when you can put decent suspenders on a stock 2-stroke bike and go racing. and WIN??
