Anyone know what's happening with this place. Looks like they have taken down their Facebook site. Is it still going ahead? Last I heard they were waiting for council to approve the highway entrance.

Drove past the other day. Looked like it had its freeway turn off when south bound. Been problems with Ranch too.

I feel sorry for those island boys, bringing dream traxx out would have cost an absolute arm and a leg.. & that was years ago now, haven't started re couping on that investment. Waiting for a exit off the highway to be approved, then built before opening doesn't sound like its going to open any time soon.

ranch closed now due to water issues?

Ran out of money from what I heard, seems like a case of promised big things but couldn't quite deliver, a lot of pro's that know Tye are able to ride there but otherwise it sees as though it will just be sitting dormant for the public till some extra money is made to continue to get the things sorted they need to open. I wouldn't hold y breath though

Legislation & council bullshit is what killed them it seems. They obviously had a really handsome budget for the project but local politics and bullshit rulings have brought down the whole park. Instead of backing it and showing support for such a place they bring it down and crush it with expenses.. absolute bullshit.

If something as good as what they had envisioned gets crushed then what hope is there for anyone else to make these places work.... NONE

It's soul-crushing for those boys id imagine.

Im not sure if it's on hold so to speak more of I think it's just Tye doing some work on it here and there in between running his own business now, so it still moving forward just very slowly till the funds build up and red tape get sorted, could have been grooming the track for a couple of pro's coming up for a ride thoughts well.

Impressive tracks. I’ve done a few laps. Jumps I couldn’t clear in my best dream!
IMHO things have been done in the wrong order. Need approval and access roads before finished tracks and a giant sign.
Good people. Great tracks and concept. Hope it pans out. The owner is no quitter.

It was hard enough to get access to the tracks that have been here for decades (lakes and Cessnock).
If this had happened 15 years ago, it would have been a huge success.

EDIT: By access I mean, you could no longer practice unless you knew someone with a property or rode illegally.

Straya.

EDIT AGAIN: And this is where we produced Chad Reed, Craig Anderson and many others for piss-sake!

Property developers can get crazy developments approved. Need to become members of the political party that holds power in the region. Networking, donating. The place at eastern creek has support from blacktown council.

Do you remember a few years ago Greg Timmins(?) had tried to put something similar together on the Central Coast, not indoor, but a motocross facility with grandstands and all kinds of cool shit.

EDIT: Because Bathurst and beer make writing difficult.
