I raced this bike (not the actual bike - but the model - at Inverness)
. Just awesome times.

I shot these yesterday. The owner of Bithlo (I visit him all the time) has a neighbor who has these bikes.....just wow.

He has not started the 250 yet. It is in new condition. I asked him to invite me over to be there. I thought some people on here might like this.

He has an original XR75 - 1996 version...all original....and a ton of other skootters.

Single down tube makes it a ‘78 or ‘79.

I remember them being mounted by the seat but not on the swingarm.

Correct on single down tube.
Luft was the first one I remember putting the reservoir on mono swingarm, but I could be wrong.
Cool pics, thanks for sharing. I have a 79 Honda myself.

That's a Luft Shock Reservoir

It was a decent mod to increase fluid to reduce fade

The XR75 seen in the pictures is a 1977 model.

Hi Tim,
How is Eric doing? It's been a nearly five years since I saw him last. Betty's car still in the garage gathering dust?

I would try to save the thread with a 79 and 80 model that I picked from the Short family farm, but FTE isn’t a fan of the 79 CR125 tanks on them. Black engines too...Laughing

Yeah, that's all. Just a 79 Honda.

You could save this thread, ya' know!

Just a 79 Honda is what it started out as, a cheap one at that. Can't find many $500.00 starter projects like this anymore. Good thing you have people out here helping you plan your financial ruin. LaughingLaughingLaughing

$500.00 plus shipping. And beer!

You're wrong Joe. I don't mind black engines.

And I am not opposed to the 125 tank and it was a period mod.

I'm a reasonable man...
