Top pros riding vintage bikes

Are there any videos of current (past 10 years) pros riding motocross bikes from the 60s and 70s? I've seen retired racers like Emig and Stanton do it, but I've never seen a video of a rider in their prime do it. Roczen on McGrath's Honda just isn't far enough back for what I'm looking for. I'd like to see what the riders thoughts are on the old bikes as well.

I believe that Zach Osborne rode a maico 490 when he was over here during his gp days, not sure if there's any video but it was in a magazine. I'll see if I can find it.

I seem to remember though that he was really impressed with the engine.

I remember seeing a video of Kevin Windham hitting a pretty big uphill triple on some 70’s bike. A Husqvarna maybe?

Thanks guys! The cole seely clips were great. Windham picture is insane. I just wanted to see what the progression of the sport would do for a current guy to ride an old bike.

First turn, first moto, 100cc class on Sunday. 98 is Jim Gibson, 8 is Scott Burnworth, 14 is Guy Cooper, 13 is Trampas Parker, 97 is Doug Dubach, 668 is Cody Thomas, and if you can look for the open face helmet to the left that is Trey Jorski hooking the inside line.

I completely agree. I was mostly talking about the progression of the sport techniques (riding style, specialized fitness training, scrubs, whoop skills, etc) and how it would translate to an old bike. I'm curious as to how growing up in today's era of riding technical supercross at a young age would help on old bikes and old school ungroomed mx tracks. I assume it's easier for today's riders to ride old bikes on old tracks than it would be for a young Decoster to time travel and hop on a new bike and a supercross track. And that in NO WAY is a knock on Decosters talent. I just think it's unfair to expect someone to hop on the new technology and ride tracks with obstacles he's never imagined before. I have no doubt that he would adapt in time, but it would take longer than a 2020 guy riding the old stuff.

We have a few 490s mx and enduro and the engine is my favourite engine of any bike I have had. the 82 barrels on the 81 was an animal. Linear power for days

That was awesome, and they were hauling ass on those little 100's in the vid. Newman, remember when there was a 100cc pro class and where I'm from it was huge and stacked.

Robins On that 84 yz250 was rippin, imagine his whip turn downs in a 1984 race. Impressive list of wins on that 1985 cr250, even a 250 b mod moto.
