I just picked up my first ever Husky and I must say holy cow I’ve never owned a bike with plastics that were so hard to take off😂. It’s like a guessing game which bolt to take out and what way to pull and tug. Glad I went through the discovery of doing that and not at a track trying to switch something out LOL.

P.s I still haven’t figured out how to get the bottom number plate off on the exhaust side. Any help?

Very excited for the snow to melt and try this 350 out!

I had to look at the new plastic to figure it out. The radiator shrouds had the slots that keyed on the screws had me thrown until I looked at the new plastic.

My 17' TC 125 and my 18' TC250 took a little getting used to when it came down to removing the plastics , but overall , it's kind of a cool design ( I think anyways ). I remember removing one of the shrouds the first time , and I was like " What the hell?.....I have all the bolts out "..........and that little 6mm , under the tank was a sneaky little bastard haha.

Bottom right side number plate: bend the plastic with the heat shield a little over and remove the screw above. Pull the numberplate straight backwards, use some silicone spray on the joint. When plate has moved backwards, pull it out sideways.

I had to remove the exhaust. It’s so annoying...

This is hilarious because I was thinking the same thing over the weekend when putting the new plastic on my new TX300. Its like a jigsaw puzzle! Hell just getting the seat off took me a bit haha! The rear fender was a real head scratcher too.

Front number plate: T30 middle than 6mm for the yellow piece at the back.
Front fender: Have to take front number plate off. 2 bolts T30 up top and 2 bolts 8mm under fender
Fork guards: 3 T30 on each and 6mm for brake line.
Shrouds: 2 T30 in by rad and than have to take off seat to get to the 2 6mm the seats covering
Airbox number plate : Work your way from the back - there are three places that the number plates snaps into. Pull towards yourself and work from top to bottom.
Small airbox plate: T30 underneath than push ahead to let the other connecting piece go free and than take off.
Seat: Only one T30 bolt holding this in.
Exhaust plate: Have to take airbox number plate and seat off. Unclip top part where connects to funder and than pull back lower side. This can be a bugger to take off. Best way I found was standing on the other side of the bike and pushing down on the plate for the bottom two connectors to let go. Slide up exhaust side.
Bottom side exhaust plate: Same steps as exhaust plate but need to completely take exhaust off (two middle T30’s and exhaust hook). There is a T30 and clip underneath the plate you cant see until you take the exhaust off similar to the other side.
Rear fender: 2 6mm’s after you take seat off and 4 T30s under the fender.

Hope this helps if anyone ever comes across this forum again. Whoever did the manual must of been drunk. No where in the book does it show how to take off shrouds, rear fender, or the small side plates - which were all the most difficult ones to do.

Cheers!

Resurrection of this post. I can't for the life of me get the rear fender off of 2019 TC85. I swear I'm going to have to cut it off with a sawZall

Keep looking lol chances are you’re missing a bolt. Tc250 rear fender was a little stiff for me first time but not hard to slide/pull off by any means
