Before the outdoor season starts just wondering who should be in running for Team USA? Is Roger up for the job? Do the riders who have manned up against the odds and participated it before or the ones who are hot at the end of the season? Reward for the guts or glory
Anderson
JMart
I’d go
Tomac
Osborne
Bagget
The Shop
Baggett or Anderson. Whoever is having better season.
Osborne or JMart. Whoever is having the better season.
There's a few 250 guys who could make the push such as Forkner or Plessinger. Honestly, any combo of the listed guys will be a very tough team to beat on home turf.
Baggett
Tomac
Jmart
What I think might happen
Baggett
Anderson
Jmart
Roger might still be mad that tomac did'nt want to go last year but baggett tomac and Jmart would be hard to pass up
I dont care to see tomac represent the US.
Send Anderson, Bagget, and Osborne.
Anyway, the outdoor season (results / injuries) will undoubtedly change my mind, but I would say these guys are candidates:
Osbourne (He wants to be there bad and he's one of the best in the sport right now).
Baggett (The guy is an animal outdoors when he's on... If he can ride like he did last year, he's a good pick).
Anderson (He did great at his last MXdN showing, right up until he was landed on).
Barcia (Bam Bam kicks it up a notch at these races and so far he's having a decent year excluding the injury).
JMartin (The guy is great on both 250 and 450 and he's a 2 time 250 champ).
Tomac (He didn't want to do it last year, he'd be my last pick for that reason... Kick rocks guy).
That's six guys who are solid picks in my opinion. I don't want Tomac on the team (for spite), but I still root for the guy when he's racing.
Pit Row
250 rider: Anyone of Osborne, Plessinger or J Mart
Any team assembled out of any combination out of those guys will be unbelievably hard to beat, especially on home soil. I can see other Nations winning moto's. Roczen, Herlings, Cairoli, Musquin are all capable, but winning the nations overall will be very difficult.
I should hopefully be there and I can't wait for it. It's a track I've always wanted to go to
So Tomac, Bagget/Anderson. Osborne i think no one will touch. Average 2sec per lap quicker outdoors, decent starts (same as Jmart). Did well in last MxoN and has the experience from MXoN and really wants to be there. Gona take an injury to stop Osborne from being selected.
Bagget/Anderson. If Bagget is not suffering from injury, or easily triggered injury again and starts are on point he is a candidate. I think he will have issues with his hand.
Anderson did well last time he was there, gets good starts and he wants to get a new chance and they are not going to deny him that. Only injury or a placement outside top 5 in outdoors will disqualify him.
Barcia i cant see unless he just dominates Anderson and Bagget, which he will not.
So my prediction is Tomac, Andersson and Osborne.
