Hi Vitalmx!

We are 4 Engineering students from Aarhus University in Denmark, that are trying to develop a new form of training equipment for motocross riders.

We already have a lot of positive respons from former danish champions and former MXGP racers, but we are doing a Scientific test to check if the prototype stimulates the correct muslegroups.

In order to do so, we need some medical studies in biomechanics and muslefunctions for motocross riding. We have tried google and most public databases, but without much luck.

We hope that some of you guys are able to help us!

Concentrate on the facial muscles as most do a lot of riding with their mouth. You know, the ones who "qualified for lorettas one time" and "could have gone pro"...

There’s nothing like training the muscles used on a motorcycle like riding a motorcycle.

Like someone said above, very unlikely you will responses from qualified individuals here. I would recommend contacting whoever runs the Racer X Virtual Trainer site, they would likely be able to stear you in the right direction.

Oh, and in my humble opinion as an ME, a BMX bike is the best training toolCool

Maybe some sort of static forearm hold mechanism. Something that you can hold that doesn’t necessarily work your grip directly but something that helps with endurance. Maybe something with a gyro effect? Maybe something you could even run or walk with. I duno just brainstorming. There are plenty of normal excercises that work to strengthen the rest of the body. Forearm endurance has always been a problem area for weekend warrior Mx riders.

I think you might want to get a refund on that there education. It’s kinda hard to take a thread seriously when you can’t spell check the title.
Just out of curiosity, what’s traning equipment?

Give them a break! Most engineers I know can barely write an email - they're almost as bad as motocross riders Grinning
