I like the SG11 better than the SG12s I had. I don't think they even make the 11 any longer.

Hmm... I actually like my 10's better than my 12's... Doesn't make sense, but the 10's feel better...

Haha hahhaha I agree! Instincts are horrible. I got a few pairs for free and still can get them free, but I'd rather spend retail on sg12s all day long!

I believe the SG11's may have become the new SG10's.

I remember getting my brand new RED AXO turbo plus. I thought they were awesome! They had a drawstring and everything. So advanced.

Heres a google pic of the blue. LOL. I had red to go with my bike!

Good thread. I was contemplating getting some new boots next year, definitely going Gaerne. Was looking at SG 10s versus SG12s. I have wide feet. Good to know some people like the 10s better than the 12s, especially those with wide feet.

SG11s became the current SG-10.

Old SG-10 was better than current SG-10 (sg-11) in my and some others opinion.

New SG-12 is a biigger upgrade from the current 10 than the old one IMO.

Thanks,

BP

Thank you, I have big calves as well from years of lifting weights. Definitely going to look at SG10s.

SG12, best boots I've ever worn. Had Sidi before, feel much more safer in the gaerne

I have triple-E wide feet, and like the SG12 more. I've owned 2 pairs of SG10s and going on my 4th pair of SG12s now. No complaints on the 10s, but the 12s feel like they have more support which I like.

I have Fred flintstone feet and large calves aswell and my SG 12s are great even with knee braces. I tried the old SG10s and I really liked the feel of the 12s better as far as ankle support. I would recommend trying both on and go with what feels the best as they are both excellent options!

No worries. I have large calves also and the sg10s were great! I've never wore 12s so i cant comment on them but ot sounds like they accommodate large calves also

I broke my big toe as a kid as a result I have some mobility issues in the knuckle of my big toe and therefore can't flex my toe upwards much. It was always super painful to me to get into my Alpinestars Tech 7s I had because it would never open wide enough to get my foot in while keeping my toe straight.

So I ended up buying a pair of SG12s this year and it was easily the best $500 I ever spent. When the boot arrived at my house I instantly through my bad foot into the boot to see if I had made the right choice. Holy. Shit. It was like putting on a slipper. No more pain, they are SO comfortable and required no break-in. I'll never go back to Alpinestars. Obviously everyone's foot is different and while these definitely offer a 'wider' feel then any boot I've worn it's hard to imagine someone dis-liking the boot.
