Minimum wage is like 8 dollars in the US .... and minimum wage jobs make up 33.78 percent of the jobs in america.... Yeah id say i wouldent complain about paying 200 bucks for a 5 gallong drum if minimum wage is 17 bucks ... a very modest wage here would be 28-33 dollars per hour .... some make more ... alot of people on this forum are rich though....
Pretty much what I thought...the American media and government try to make out that everything is recovering , only 4% unemployment etc....
Sounds like bullshit to me.

The C12 is out of my reach, couldn't justify it...
If I was only making $17 an hour , I wouldn't be able to afford a bike to put it in anyway

Why not just set the clickers and sag and let the stock YZ250 rip?
That's probably just what I will do! Kinda wanted to have a bit of a hot rod bike...no big deal though. Excellent bike stock like you say..

i think you should look up all the benefits, and minimum employment rules Australian's get before commenting, i think you would be more shocked,

VP is used by most drag racers over this side of the tasman, presume its the same there, living at the bottom of the world with not that many people around has its benefits, and its drawbacks,

To the guys running av gas .. what jetting changes do u make if any?? Think av got standard jetting in my 93 cr 250.. think it's 55 and 175.. what changes would u suggest?.. just got 20 litres of it and not used the bike this year. Cheers
Most of the time with 100ll you drop one or two sizes on the main jet. It has a lower specific gravity, meaning it is less resistant to flow, so more fuel will flow through the same size jet. Pilot should be fine. I go one size leaner on the main to start and do a plug check, 125 2 strokes are usually right on. A 250 2 stroke might take going another size leaner.

Min wage is high here. But basic services like day care are $100 dollars a kid. I pay $1400 a fortnight for one kid full time and one in before and after school. My mortage is only $800 a fortnight. Im lucky i have a stable job in defence that pays 100k a year. Prices are going crazy here as we didnt have a recession in 2008/09.

I get VP for around 45$ for 5 gallons from a friend that works for them so I've been lucky...but I'd never get that stuff full price. Expensive

I've ridden it with the stock jetting since I've had the bike. Only ran pump gas for the first few tanks and switched once I found out about AV gas.

I haven't bought high octane fuel in over 10 years . There was a place across from my work that sold 110 from a pump . It was always between 5-6 a gallon. What is the reason for such a steep rise in price compared to pump gas that is controlled by state taxes and price per barrel of oil?

Your off your nut not just building a motor that will run good 98 octane but it's too late now.

If you want Sunoco 116 octane race fuel give me a message and I'll give you my guys details.

I recommend buying in 200L drums as it becomes much cheaper. Will ship for free.

Can do 20L for about $185Au

I have a better idea. I'm going to start a race fuel import business in Australia and you will be my supplier and I'm gonna sell the s**t out of that stuff.

Well the minimum wage here is about $17 per hour for a full time employee , so after tax you'd probably have to work 13 to 14 hours to buy a drum of C12, provided you didn't need to spend any of that money on food or rent or anything ..
How's that compare to the USA..?
Seriously though, I think the average Aussie is paid more than folks in the USA.
From what I read, things are pretty crook over there..

The amount of red tape, taxes and bullshit in Australia it's hardly worth it.

You will cringe at the price of anything here in Aus, particularly Sydney where median house price is over $1m or equivalent to about 800k USD.

I go shopping once a week for food for my fiance and myself and will easily spend $400, and that's not buying frivolous crap we don't need.

Stoichiometric of Avgas is high. It runs very rich, you will need to lean out. U4.4 is 13.3 (I think) compare to pump 14.7 and Avgas is 15.1 I believe.

$400 a week on food!!!!!
Jesus are you and the missus bodybuilders who only eat lobster!!!

I understand your pain though, Sydney is getting ridiculous, I'm lucky I got into the housing market before it went silly, I couldn't afford to buy my Sydney house again if I had to, and I've only been in it for 2 years thats how much prices have gone up.

Brisbane on the other hand, I got a nicer one up there for nearly 1/3 of the cost of the one down here. I don't understand it. From my point of view I hope it never ends but I cant see how it can keep going along like this forever.
