I wanted to ask opinions of anyone who has used the VP MRX02. I have a friend building a KTM 125 for the LL Regionals. I heard the MRX02 makes great power but is it more finicky than say the VP T2? Though I have no experience with it. I used the T2 last year and I rarely had to re-jet the bike.

If it's a pain to run that requires constant jetting all day it's not going to be the best fit for them.

I'm only interested in opinions of those who have tried the MRX02 fuel.

Thank you

I have run it in a YZ250 2-stroke, I had to richen the carb slightly (2-3 sizes on the main I think) but didn't notice a great improvement, I also run it in a yz450 with no mapping changes and the increase in throttle response and top end pull was noticeable. To be honest I noticed more improvement with MS109 in the 250, although this goes against popular opinion. Just my experience..

MS109 is great fuel and I believe its more oxygenated than 4.4. I've been told by a couple race shop/engine builders that they like MS109 better than 4.4 as well.

For a KTM 125 I can’t speak to MRX but I use and know a lot of riders use VP C12 on KTM 125s.

Does a 4stroke benefit from oxygenated and leaded fuels like a 2stroke loves?

Aso, I dont want to know how much you paid. MRX02 is like 20$ a gallon in the states.

On a 2T you’ll usually see this fuel run in motors that were built and tuned by an engine builder to run MRX02 specifically. This would usually include some fairly serious adjustment in timing and possibly even compression tweaking along with port-timing.
