With all the hoopla about this race fucking with people going to the nations or people not attending due to the off season and it's a one of event...
What if we made the final round at Vegas just be the MEC?
Instead of keeping the lowest score wins, you keep the main events points as usual. This could give someone who is somewhat close in points a huge possibility to make up points at the final round. Everyone is there (barring injuries, of course) it's a championship event, the final round, a million dollars on the line, etc. Exposure would be massive.
No more odd placing of a one off in the fall so these dudes can actually get a decent off season and rest. Everyone shows up because it's a points paying event. Someone 30 points down at the final round is still totally capable of taking the title. The only downfall is finding somewhere to race the all star class since the regular 250's would take precedence over that. There's supposedly already going to be the MEC format at select rounds this year, why not?
Give me a reason why this wouldn't make more sense.

The Shop
be nice to see a little more creativity for the last race of the season and make it a bigger point value.
Final in Vegas is usually has a big crowd. Monster cup has a big crowd.
If they did this the organizers would miss out on money from one big crowd and alot of PPV sold.
That is a great idea. And go back to making it two nights LOL..
