It has been stated that "JGR has the funds to support 3 riders"...

I bet they would keep him. I can see Bogle getting top 10s as well as Mookie if he has the fitness. I hope he does kill it

There is only one thing Bogle has done consistently and I hope that changes.

I was going to say the same thing!

Love Bogle and I believe he can a few good results, but I do not think he can go a full season in SX or MX without weeding himself to the couch.

If he gets good results, he earns more points and money.

Maybe that will get him an extension or another offer.

If Bogle had two consecutive concussions, I doubt he`ll be back before Outdoors.

I think if Malcolm trains seriously and puts in good results , I see no reason why JGR or some other team wouldn't keep him around. As long as you put in the work , most of the time......good things happen. This is his 450 shot , right here....so it's up to him to keep it.

Yeah. JT mentioned in the fantasy podcast that he heard that Bogle is unable to do a full main event without getting symptoms.

We saw how it went for JS7 after he got knocked out in A1 2016. Brain injuries are tricky.

I say that Mookie stays with JGR for the rest of the season.

If Malcolm stays on 2 wheels, he will be top finishing suzuki. You can put a shipping label on that. Autograph line this weekend will be the longest JGR has seen since the other Stewart was there. Makes sense to keep him through the end of the year.

You think he'll be beating Weston?

I had them two about equal in my thoughts, the better starter winning over the two. Cool

Well....I will say you're nuts. Weston I think is a solid 3rd - 7th place guy. Malcolm I see ( even on his best days about 8th - 12th.....and that's being in shape. Right now....I see him as a 12th - 18th.

That's if they keep it upright and stay out of trouble. No weird crashes and so forth.

The same thing that happens at Yamaha with Barcia. You make room for a winner.

If Malcolm finishes top 10 I say that it a positive, but IMO I don't see that happening. Peick is way ahead of Malcolm at this point.

It's weird, I was just thinking how things didn't go well with Bubba and JGR, then went to Yoshi Suzuki and how that ended, now Malcolm is with JGR and Suzuki. Hmmmmm, irony can be pretty ironic sometimes.

For whatever reason I never was a fan of James, but I like Mookie and hope he does well! I see this as possibly a last chance for him, so I hope he takes advantage of it.

I think Peick has the work ethic. Malcolm layed around for the last year and a half thinking he would get a gift and he did. I think it cheapens Peicks and a lot of other riders efforts that ground it out to stay in the game. It's kind of sad when a riders best hope is that he gets a fill in ride and that doesn't happen unless someone is hurt. I don't think Stewart gets a look at Peick after the gate drops.

And just to make my point here.....

I'm not saying Malcolm can't put down a 6th - 8th fast qualifying lap. The " fitness " thing I hit on the other day ( and got blasted ) is where I'm coming from. He'll need all he can get in those 20min mains. So the guys saying that I didn't know what I was talking about.....I guess we'll wait and see.

Putting in a fast lap is one thing. Where he finishes in the main will be another. Hence proving my point of what I was trying to say. He hasn't been training the way a guy should have been training.

On a side note : I do think he was a good choice for a fill in ride. He has something they can work with. But wins? C'mon dudes sheesh!!

I see Malcolm being a top ten maybe in SX and if they kept him on for outdoors etc i see slightly better results.

Nobody knows where Mooky has been since last year. Yet everybody knows he is out of shape and slow. Clairvoyant?

Agree. Very strange that some people on Vital know more about Malcolm than JGR.
