They are $5500 all over the place. Were they a bad bike or did Suzuki just make too many of them? I'm tempted, last 450 I had was a 2006 RMZ, I loved that bike.

Great bikes. Nothing wrong with them other than a reputation of not changing enough from 2008 until now. That’s all. Reliable, easy to ride and has the old reliable Kickstarter. Go get one!!!

Some say the resale value sucks. But it doesn't matter much when you save $4000 at time of purchase.

My last 450 was also an 06 that I bought new from the extinct Cycle City. For the price you can't go wrong. If I wanted a new 450, that's what I would buy, based on pricing and handling.

Same here, my last RMZ was a 06 450 loved the bike but I am old and back on 2t’s that I grew up on and can rebuild in my sleep. For that kind of price I say have fun, ride the wheels off of it and sell for 3500-4000. Better to lose 1500+/- and ride a new bike every few years than lose 4000+ with the latest greatest from the others that don’t have that kind of mark down.

Great bike! I made a few small changes.. A link.. FC Suspension. .FMF Ti system and a Dyno tune. The thing is awesome. Been racing it the last few weeks and been right along side every other brand coming into the first turn. These bikes are NOT down on power in the realistic, usable RPM range.

"Advertised price excludes tax, title, license, set up, freight, and dealer doc fee."

Setup and Doc Fee is where they get ya. There should only be a freight charge of around $350 or so.. and tax if you're buying in State. Back in October I got an 18 for $5,995, plus $350 freight. $6345 OTD. I'm sure there's better deals now though.

If you have never tried to sell a used I'll tell you, you almost have to give them away. Other than them being cheap new and having almost no used market, they are fine performance and reliability wise.

The bike isnt as good as a 2018 of any of the other brands. Thats why its cheap. Its still a good bike though. Dont take it the wrong way.

weird shock but i would take that deal in a second. The Suzuki 450 has always been an awesome/ underrated bike in my opinion. I had a 2014 and it was super reliable (harsh up front).

My friend got an 2018 for about $6k OTD in January and overall its been good to him.

Some weird things...
stripped out seat bolt at 3 hours
Sheered off a footpeg bolt at 11 hours.
He's currently rebuilding the transmission (at 44 hours) because it's hit false neutral several times.

Not telling you anything you don't already know but ANY 450 will do everything you need it to and more. Very few people are at a level that some slight changes couldn't make just about any 450 a dream bike. Suzuki is my brand of choice due to how well they handle and corner. I'd say buy it and enjoy!

I got an 18. First Suzuki and coming off a husky 17 350. There are good and bad parts to each but overall im pumped on the switch. Its taken a few tweaks to be comfortable but now im ahead of where i was. Im riding better, can take any line i want, more confident attacking large jumps regardles of the run up to it, bike just hooks up and goes.

I renoved the judder springs in the clutch made it 1000% better, yosh exhaust, bars, odi grips, pro pegs and am very comfortable on it now

What's the deal with these judder springs? Ive put a link on mine and with just over 20 hrs since December im getting along with ole Suzy pretty well. Somehow wore out a foot peg spring at 8 hrs though

They're fine as long as you don't try any other new bike.

Longer shifter. That's the fix.

Yeah, Suzuki rmz450 has had funny shifting back to 2008 on that engine and running a different shifter helps it massively.

Another slight for the rmz is that no one can reprogram the ecu anymore so you have to buy a aftermarket computer if it's not mapped well

Pretty curious to hear some ride reports of the 19 RMZ250 with correct spring rate. I couldn’t use all that 450 power any way so I would lean towards the newly designed 250F

Exactly, I rode 10 laps on a friends '19 FC450, and now I own a 19.5 Rockstar Edition.

Great bikes all around! Had a 15 and hated the air forks but the bike was great I had no issues. Ordered an 18 as soon as they came out. Sent the suspension into FC and have had no problems with the "terrible shock" as everyone who has never road one would say. As far as resell value if you keep your bikes maintained and clean there should be no issue getting 4 to 4500 out of them. I got 4500 out of my 15 with 65hrs and I paid 5900otd how can you go wrong with a deal like that? Oh and I might be biased but these new models look so damn good!
