Not counting the obvious big injuries, who do you like for best and worst to this point?

My pick's

450's - Best surprise Ben Lamay with A Ray as a honorable mention

250's - Best surprise Chase Sexton

450's - Worst surprise Cooper Webb

205's - Worst surprise Justin Hill

Barcia having good results on the Yamaha. I thought the YZf sucked.

Easily its Barcia in the 450's. Good for him!

250's is Hill in the opposite direction.

Worst surprise is injuries. They suck!! These poor guys prepare so much for it to all be for not in the blink of an eye and then they have to start over again.

For sure Barcia, and nice bounce back after this practice crash. Check where the clutch lever's headed.

I'd also give a nod to Weston Peick. He's stepped his game up for sure.

^ Wow... That's crazy... Glad he didn't need a glass eye... jeez... I'd agree with Barcia. I expected to see Roczen back on his game. But never expected Bam Bam to be running this good...

Barcia for me...dude hasn’t podiumed in SX since 2014 and comes out and gets back to back thirds.

Hill is super disappointing
Webb is disappointing

Barcia by far. He's sure "grown up" in a short period of time. Being unemployed for awhile will humble you...

I don't see much of any change for JA.

He was second fiddle to MM25 all off-season at the races, and a tic off from ET3 and MM25 at A1.

Roczen didn't press the issue last weekend, and has more in the tank. JAa is a 2-5 place guy. You're just seeing him out there without 2 of the main staples of the class, out of it. Looks the same to me, all things considered.

Best 450's- Barcia going 3-3 so far. Im stoked on it!
Best 250's- Sexton

Worst 450's- Webb for sure. But this weekend he was down in the first turn so i'll cut him some slack there
Worst 250's- I would say Hill, but he's right where I expected him to be this year on the zuki. So I have to go with Mellross. I expected him to be inside the top 10 if not closer to the top 5

Peick was in that same form last year, and jbone said that he is going really good before the season, so that was no surprice for me. So Barcia.

Barcia, Bowers, Dakota, Lamay, A-Ray, 7DeuceDuece...honorable mention for Chad gutting it out.

In the 250 race at Houston? Complete with a broken-off rear master-cylinder from his 1st turn crash?!?! Hoeft!

I didn’t know his master cylinder broke off! I’ve known the kid since he was on mini’s and my dad has known his since before either of us was born so I can’t help but want to see him up there. The kid has heart and a hell of a lot of talent. I expect him in the top ten at some point this year. Our house was going crazy watching him get that LCQ win. I texted his cousin and we were going crazy. Keep it up Justin!

That Ronnie Ford was allowed to come back. So, I guess that uniquely satisfies both biggest and worst surprises.

barcia...not surprised by the results but how he seems to handle his temper and nerves. he looks like a complete different racer.

biggest let down for me is that eli made a big mistake AGAIN. I know it's a crazy sport but it's frustrating to see it year after year. anyhow, he's still a bad dude on a bike.
