I can't say who makes the best one, but if you do the conversion, I'm looking to buy a stock 17 or 18 reservoir.

WP makes one now, but Factory Connection and Powerband also have good ones. MX Tech has the "Tank" that works well, but it is still a piston.

I bought an SDI unit from RMATV. Good quality part and easy to install. Made an improvement, but not a major one. Wanted to be able to bleed and service conventionally.

I have the stock reservoir from my 17 450FE if you still need one. Just text me at 508 243 1232 if you need it.

The bladder kit that came from Powerband came with an aluminum preload ring.

Erik, would you be able to measure the reservoir diameter? Thanks

If you're going to change out the preload ring, get an Xtrig pre-load adjuster. Fantastic product.

Agreed. The SDI is the nicest system. Also gives the shock a more subtle feel over small chop. You need to watch some of the other manufacturer's products. They tend to use welded tubing and then machine it to make the canisters. Some racers have had problems with them splitting open and bladder blowing out.

WP Bladder here. And the Xtrig (private labeled) pre-load adjuster.

I dont know who's is better. I cant imagine there are huge differences. Pro Circuit has one. Factory Connection does as well. I wanted RED, so I went with WP.

Will measure tonight. The SDI had a larger diameter over the PC/WP/FC offerings. Looks sort of stubby like the CRF versions.

Because these bikes respond so much to sag settings, I might consider the Xtrig also. Doesn't take much of a rotation on the preload adjuster to make a noticeable change in sag.

On the Rocky mountain reviews, it says the x trig doesn't work with the Sdi. It's probably the same case as my mx tank, whereby they grind the x trig to make it clear the larger diameter resevoir

I have yet to ride my SDI system but my suspension guy highly recommended it for my 2018 350SXF.

If it's off the bike, would you mind measuring the diameter of the orange can? Thanks

I don't have a set of calipers at the house. I'd have to bring them home from work tomorrow.

No problem. Always glad to help. It was perfect timing. I just received a SDI kit yesterday for a buddy's Husky.

If you can have the x-trig retainer machined to 70mm dia., you should be golden. That will give you a little bit of play for install.

Similar measurement to above. A buddy has the FC bladder and Xtrig. Probably why they use the smaller diameter.

Race Tech offers one as well I think.

(Apologies for resurrecting a dead thread)
Does anyone have a part number for this WP bladder? I’m converting and dig look of this can.

They aren't easy to find.

I've done the race tech route, same size as the stock and work well.

Caution, it seems WP are using stronger thread lock on the stock reservoir so they need a lot of heat to remove.

wonder if the WP baldder kit uses the same bladder as KYB or Showa stock ones ? does anyone knows ?

I have the Race Tech one. It is the same diameter as stock all the way down. Does not use that double-can setup like the SDI one above. So, I assume all the preload adjusters that rest against the reservoir would work.

The stock loctite on my 2020 Husky was pretty stout. It appeared to be the same green/yellow stuff that is on the stock countershaft sprocket bolt and damn near requires dynamite to remove sometimes. On the shock, I had to carefully heat it with a MAP torch. You have to remove the WP sticker first if you don't want it melting all over and be careful not to overheat and ruin the large yellow o-ring inside. Even with a good amount of heat, a large strap wrench barely got enough bite to break it loose. It's got the 2 holes in the bottom for a pin spanner also. I think it would be pretty easy if you had one guy on a strap wrench and another on a pin spanner.

Here's a link for the WP one. Seems quite pricey compared to all the aftermarket options.

I have the SDI one and it works well. Like others said here... put a lot of heat on the old one to get it off. It takes a bit of time with the MAP gas torch... move it around a lot - the torch that is.
