It seems like if a guy is doing good in the 450 class and he gets signed, they'll put him in the 250 class and the results aren't as good because they just ride a 450 better.
Would a team ever or has a team signed a younger guy and put him in the big bike class over trying to get good 250 results first?

Remember John Dowd got screwed by yamaha.
The Shop
Then SX comes and they put him on a 250 and he ends up crashing his brains out. Now I get he could've got injured just as easily on a 450 but I don't understand why they had him switching bikes for SX and MX. You'd think since he was comfortable and had the 450 working well, they'd keep him on that rather than start from scratch again on a 250.
