And I am banned from the house

Founders Sumatran 9%...

Banished to the garage, not a bad place but can't decide what to do next. Did not forget to bring the margarita.

Maico needs a top end, may as well make an effort

How about you???

Relaxing in a Hurricane Mills TN hotel room after a long day. Sipping on a Sam Adams while I unwind....
Btw, that's the only way to eat a steak.... I think I'll treat myself to one of those tomorrow evening after the last moto ends. My grill needs one more workout before heading home Sunday.....

I'm spending the weekend with abou 25 young people (14-18)...repelling, and doing leadership/team building exercises all day today and tomorrow.

The food stinks...we are sleeping in an army barracks...but it's amazing to see young people over come their fears and do hard things.

Everyone knows that. Sheesh!
Rebuilt a 1986 Rm 125 this year. Tore the head off and standard piston was brand new on standard bore. Only problem was they put the piston in backwards and it seized right off the bat. LOL

JRTBro...that brisket is gonna be killer. I can't get them that thick here unless I special order. That looks like a 12-14 hour smoke on that one. I bet it is under the smoke right now - better be or you're gonna be eating late!

Mr. Newmann...

Bunko? Whatever works, man!

Hey, this is nothing new or groundbreaking, but it was for me. I finally tried cooking a steak in cast iron. I'm just going to copy and paste the post I made about it on faceplant. Here it is...

Last evening I decided to do something different and cook some steaks in our cast iron skillet. Man, you talk about a good steak! I read up on several different recipes and went with brushing the steaks with oil, then salting them with kosher salt and some other favorite seasonings. I heated the skillet to 500 degrees on my grill, pulled it off and put it on the side burner on medium heat then dropped the steaks in. 2 minutes on each side, then turned them for 4 minutes on each side. Perfect medium rare - though I prefer a rare steak - this was a learning process. These were inch thick steaks. Take steaks then and tent them in foil with a chunk of butter on each one. While they are tented, turn off burner, pour a cup of red wine in still hot skillet, clove of garlic, fresh parsley and basil, chives and 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard, half a cup of shallots and serve over the steaks. You can thank me later.

I always thought it was interesting to see all the ladies on their bunco night at our local watering hole. We saw someone we know and she couldn't hide the "busted" look on her face when we said hi. Bible study groups too that would end up on the karaoke stage.

Harrybro, not going to lie... blew through the alarm and failed as a pit master. Got up around 7am and had to get the smoker fired up. First date night since the baby was born and we let our hair down a little.

I will try your steak recipe tomorrow. Sounds different and great!
