Just finished watching the MEC and come one here to see what everyone thought of it and the Vital hive mind is just overwhelmingly negative.

I thought it was a super fun and exciting event. The superminis were a total thrill to watch, the All stars class was exciting as well seeing the future of the sport and seeing Marvin clinch a million fucking dollars... Come on!

I get that the MXoN should be the bigger event and the scheduling of the race could be better but we have to face the facts. This race is here, these dudes are risking it for our entertainment and someone finally gets a paycheck they deserve in this sport.

Lighten up.

After that it was like watching parade laps. As mentioned the lower classes were kickass.

Muckrakers dont change their stripes. Some people would complain about a blowjob.

It’s not being negative. It was truly boring to watch. We saw no battles (from the coverage they showed us) and we saw Marvin riding practice laps out front for 3 main events.

Your welcome to have your opinion but the facts and data shows that the racing was terrible... follow the leader for 3 motos..
I'm disappointed that it was a let down... we're all fans of the sport and I guess we need to accept that sometimes tracks produce poor racing.
Good on Marv though, made the most of that opportunity for the million. If it was Tomac going into the last Moto after winning the first 2 I guarantee he blows the start or tips over somewhere..

Caught the broadcast (replay) last night on TV.

Don't know what it was exactly but I changed the channel after 20 minutes. Found it very boring. Don't know if it was the event, or format, or commentating, or what. But I just wasn't into it at all.

Gotta admit though. If this place was just all high fives and reach arounds all the time it’d be pretty gay LaughingSilly

I was happy to have a race to watch and not complaining, but I've seen better races. As weird as the track looked on paper, I thought it would bring more excitement. Maybe it did and I missed it because I fell asleep, but intend to rewatch it.

Glad , Marvin won the million, seems like sensible person that wont blow it on bling . Thought last years track was more exciting , with some fast sections and better turns....

AGREE COMPLETELY!! The MEC was GREAT and the only downside is guys risking getting hurt before January. The upside of $$$ makes it worth the risk as this is why these guys race!!

Is this a thread complaining about people complaining? Or a Negative Nancy thread about the negativity?

We all knew who was and wasn't on the roster beforehand. We all know that Tomac usually either shines or sh*t'z. No surprise there. Also, I guess the track could have been a bit better in certain sections as well. I tried so hard to listen to the commentary that it took away my focus from the racing.

However, for me at least, the real problem is the talent drought at the moment. That's not something that can be fixed overnight. It's not just that Kenny's out atm either. Did anyone else find themselves wishing that RV would drop the mic and suit up? How many in our Vitard nation actually believed the sport would be less boring with Dungey gone? I realize that there can be great racing without big name racers, but with so many missing for whatever reason including retirement it's bound have an impact .
Just my two cents.

Congrats to MM 25!

Parts of the evening were good. Others not so much. Liked the superminis. Nice watching Marv win it. And his post race celebration was epic. But, getting kind of tired of watching 1 hour of racing and 2 1/2 hours of commercials.
