Yamaha Australia is selling its 2013 YZ250 and YZ125 2 strokes as pictured below, with the UFO plastics kit. Nice little bonus!

They are also selling their 2013 YZ85's with Pro Taper bars, GYTR clamps, V Force reed block, GYTR silencer and a GYTR 53T sprocket. That's pretty good value!!!

Yamaha Australia? Sad when an entire country tells Yamaha that they are doing it wrong! Poor Yamaha.

Someone, really smart, had a fantastic idea. Congrats on that, Yamaha Australia! I do think they will sell more two strokes than ever in this country.

And I do also think more dealers will do the same.

Bright!!! And fabulous bike!!!

Yamaha Australia also retro fits a 144 kit to the yz 125 when they land here. You can order a 144 from the local dealer. They hit up japan about it but they refused so Yamaha Aus do it instead

They have to do something to compete with KTM. At the track i reace at most there is one YZ 85, the rest of the mini's from 50cc through to 85 are orange

No $$$ figures but I was told they will be offered "as standard when buying a 2013". To me that means no cost. In reality they would only cost Yamaha $100, if that, to add them to the cost of the bike.

All 2013 YZ and YZF's will come standard with a white rear guard, ala 1997 Smile

Looks good, but I would want a little bit of downward curve in the rear fender. Still a step in the right direction.

Just wishful thinking anyways. Damn......why did they have to go a screw up that god damn motor placement??!!

BTW...........what is the word on the 2013.5yr release ( or early 2014 release ) that I had read about? Probably nothing as of yet? And I wonder when some Jap spy photos may show up.

They are standard issue YZ125/250 GYTR graphics so I believe they should be available in the US. They are the same shape as the OEM shrouds however, not the UFO shrouds. They cover most of the UFO shroud but not quite all of it.

Sorry to be a a day late to this:

Does this mean this is a vintage display Motobike and that they are not being re-manufactured somewhere? I, too, had this exact model/color of motobike back in the day and would love to have one now. Newman, about how much are vintage ones in good shape going for?

It looks updated, but no MX management cares. All promoters, Big 5, and the AMA are committed to keeping this bike (and all 2 strokes) where it is - in obscurity, soon to become a cool relic.

It's not just that dealer Ramrod, it's Yamaha Australia. Every YZ125 and YZ250 in the country is being sold like that Cool

Yamaha US could do the same (if they wanted to). The cost is minimal.
