Anybody with 363K liquid capitol want to start a Yamaha shop in Corona, CA?

Financial Requirements
Yamaha's objective is to ensure long term success for our future business partners. Minimum financial requirements will vary greatly depending on product lines carried, anticipated retail volume and the proposed location. In most major metropolitan markets, prospective dealers are required to establish a minimum GE credit line of $1,500,000.

Example Setup Costs
Inquire
Liquid Working Capital - $300,000
Interior and Exterior Signage - $10,000
Interior Fixtures - $5,000
Specialty Tools - $8,000
Minimum Parts, Accessories and Apparel Order - $10,000
Dealer Management System - $30,000 approximately

Estimated Total - $363,000
Facility Requirements
Minimum facility requirements ensure that every customer receives a quality experience from sales and service to parts and accessories. Like the financial requirements, facility requirements will vary greatly depending on product lines carried, anticipated volume and proposed location. On average, new dealers carrying the full Yamaha product line (Motorcycles, Scooters, ATVs, Side by Sides, Snowmobiles, Power Products, and Kart Engines) will need a minimum of the following:
10,000 sq. ft. dedicated to the display of Yamaha units.
750 sq. ft. dedicated to the display of Yamaha accessories and apparel.
750 sq. ft. dedicated to the display of Yamaha parts.
1,000 sq. ft. service department.

Funny that they reaquire the area "dedicated to the display of Yamaha accessories and apparel" and the service department to be almost the same size.

Funny Corona Motorsports has been trying to get the Yamaha bikes for years but from what i know another local dealer has prevented that from happening (Malcolm Smith)

I worked in OEM sales for Polaris in SoCal for years, Corona is in the "Bermuda Triangle" between Bert's, Temecula M/S and Chaparral, tough. Not to mention Coyne is very well run and Malcolm Smith spends a lot of energy with the 2 wheeled crowd.

The shops mentioned above have very good operators, and if you had KTM too, it would be tough.

I do think Yamaha is the best OEM line of the Japanese (FZ07, FZ09), but you'd need Can Am/ Polaris to make it work IMO, and it would still be tough, especially when the economy slows down here soon...

If it’s anything like Some manufactures you can’t have another dealer carrying Same brand within so many miles.

Notice how the parts/accessories/service #'s are very low. But to have 400 units on the showroom is very costly, how about $1,500,000 in credit line so bikes can sit there?
