which is quieter ? either one still run okay? I assume the bikes feel pretty neutered with either one

Food for thought, I bought a WR pipe for my YZ off eBay new in box. It is MUCH quieter due to stricter noise regulations for enduros. Not sure what bike you ride but that could be an option. I found that the aftermarket pipes, even the "quiet" ones aren't that quiet at all.

yes both are quiet and yes it neuters a mx bike.

i have an fmf 4.1 with removable screen. quiet and legal on the trails, power on the track.

I have a neighbor situation. My riding area at home is very small, more like a testing area but It is very nice to be able to ride an hour in the afternoon without hauling my bike and etc elsewhere. My bike is a wake the dead loud KX450F. I had a few aftermarket mufflers with baffles in them in the past and found them to be somewhat quieter but not a heck of a lot.
I am even thinking about picking up a WR250F or CRF250X , since they are about ATV quiet in stock form and already gutless. also thought about installing the huge and hideous KLX450R exhaust on my bike but I bet it would not run well given that I cannot easily lean the mixture for such a restrictive system

I have a track on my property also and concerned about noise. I had a FMF Q2 on a YZF450, quieted the bike down quite a bit and I thought the power was still just fine compared to the stock muffler.

One of the turndown tips helps lower the noise without killing as much power as a baffle. I think several companies make them, I have the RMC branded one on my bike.
