What is it? Did you win your elementary school speeling bee as I did? Were you a factory racer? Did you wrench on your little brothers bike when he won a local series? Are you the top salesperson in your company? Did you buy a 1982 YZ80 brand new with your own money? Did you jump three friends on your BMX bike? Is your yard the nicest on the block?

What's your story? Don't be shy.

I raced local level for years, since I was around 4 or 5. Never won anything over a state series championship. I'm 19 and in school for criminal justice technology. I still ride once or twice a week. Oh, and I work in parts at my local dealership while I'm in my school. Now everybody is my friend and they all deserve discounts.Smile

I was school multiplication champ in fifth grade.

I farted during a science test in 7th grade and got a detention for it. I can't believe the teacher was the only one that heard it.

Got a handful of top 10 finishes at Loretta's and a few small time amateur championships at the GNC/Spring National when it was at Lake Whitney.

My parents didn't want to spend their hard earned money on racing so they pushed me in "ball sports" resulted in a couple D1 state championships in lacrosse beating our local private school, then a scholarship for college. I hate to say it but I probably wouldn't have gotten a degree if it wasn't for HS sports.

Fame ? Laughing Not one mention since Cycle News stopped coming every Wednesday with local race results and articles submitted by readers.
I was San Clemente Sun Post's citizen of the day once. 40 years and 40 lbs ago... does that count ?

Beat Ben Lamay straight up... In a pit bike race.

Other than that probably a 6th at Mini-O's on an 85.

Working for Rocky Mountain when they were on Honda’s with b hall and chiz then 722. Was 21 at the time and absolute idiot. Pissed away the opportunity like a dumbass because partying with friends was more important. That’s my claim to fame haha. Man to get that oppurtunity back

2.0 GPA in High School because I only cared about racing dirt bikes.

4.2 GPA / Valedictorian of my class at Columbia because I realized dirt bikes (and life) cost a lot of money.

Bonus points if you dropped some obscure band reference.

I've won six local and regional championships, including the Y2K CA State Championship in +25 Intermediate.

My cousin is the drummer for NoDoubt. I've been to his house and almost asked him if I could borrow one of his MTV Moon Men for a photo opportunity. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.
