Your favorite bike?

What has been your guys' one personal favorite bike that you have ever owned?

Mine has to be my 2007 Drz-400S, It just rolled over 20k miles and I've never even touched the valves.

Its been on tons of adventures, on both the street and the woods!

I've got one just like it. How do you like the trials tire? What sort of mileage do you get with those?

They're excellent in almost all conditions except if it is really loamy/sandy or if it is muddy at all. I get around 1000-1500 miles out of the rear, but that is while doing a lot of wheelies and stuff. The front starts cupping after around 2000-2500 miles. I don't ever balance my offroad tires so that might have something to do with it.

1985 KTM 250MX and 2005 KTM 300EXC, 1966 FLH and 1966 R69S were fun too, but not dirt worthy...

I agree with this guy. I haven't met a whole lot of guys that have ridden them and not fallen in love.

Tell us more please.

Anything descriptive about the 85 KTM and why you loved it?

Whats an 1966 R69S?

I can't pick between my 04 DRZ400S, 1991 RM125, or my 08 RM's...but I will say this. As far as MX bikes go, the 08 RM250 is the best ever..period!. MtnBoy is totally wrong!!!!!!!!

I had a lot of really good ones over the years, but to pick one...

I'd go with my '95 CR125... No, '92 KX125... No, '01 CR250...

Ok, how about this... I F'n hated my '94 YZ125, this I know for sure... And that '00 RM250

I think I'll just go have another margaritas now...

My 1982 YZ80 was the best moto machine I've ever ridden. It had the radiator up in the front number plate to keep the center of gravity going forward and added weight to the front end to keep it from wheelying so much. The drum brakes were better than anything made today because they could be adjusted with as few as five wrenches. The bike couldn't have weighed more than 230 pounds, which is practically nothing compared to today's pigs. There was no packing in silencer to cut down on weight and maintenance. The only negative to that bike was the steel frame flexed too much when I would blitz supercross whoops in 8th gear.

1988 YZ250. Far and away the best bike I ever raced. It was easy to make it fast, had great suspension, and was reliable. It got 2nd gear holeshots and was forgiving in the rough stuff. A great old guys bike.

I would have to go with my 2006 RM-250 RC edition that I ride right now. I love that bike, especial flying through trails, they are killer offroad bikes. A close second would be my 2004 CR-125, the thing rides like a BMX bike it is so light.

I loved my 2007 CRF250R! I got the bike in 09 when the dealers were giving them away and started racing it in 2010. It took me from a beginner up to an intermediate where I'm at now and I never touched the bottom end. 3 hard years do racing on the original crank! It was super reliable, never had a DNF that was caused by the bike. It handled great and I was able to pull many (4) hole shots against a bunch of FI bikes. I loved that bike but finally sold it about a month ago.

if you really love that bike...how about touching the valves? the BIKE would love it. of course if you are checking them and they don't need any adjustment, well then that's a sweet engine

Best bike I've owned would be an '05 ex Tommy Searle Molson KXF250. Motor was so good and suspension was awesome.

I really liked my 2008 RM250 but could never get the harshness out of the fork. Motor was allot of un, great sand bike & play riding. However, when it came to racing, as fun as it was it was just too much hardwork!

2005 YZ125!

Just did the top end, fixed the jetting and got my suspension serviced. Can't wait to ride it!

Toss up between the 87 CR125 and my current 13 YZ250 - though I am starting to like the YZ more than the 87 CR. It took me awhile to get the YZ suspension dialed, but now I understand why people rave about the suspension.
