Maybe you should have ordered a brake cable clamp instead?

Its pretty obvious in the pictures that the chain guide is just the carbon part, not the rubber slider. They make carbon parts not injection molded pieces.

This site says it re-uses the stock stuff for installation. Maybe read the description before you buy shit...

I've had numerous Lightspeed parts and never an issue. Made sure what I was ordering and received the order as placed. Happy with all the parts so far.

Lightspeed is great, been using and selling their products for years. I can even vouch that Grant Langston used some of the same parts for multiple years when he was on his own and for a carbon skid plate to run multiple seasons outdoors that is saying alot. They can be a little slow on getting backorders released but what would anyone expect form a 2 person operation. Did you really expect it to be everything and carbon at that price? the TMD one is $89 and is just plastic

I've got to get Lightspeed's back on this one. All the products that I have used or sold have been fine and work as advertised. Carbon fiber is a material with it's own strengths and weaknesses, but they are a good company.

if one is gonna trash a company online...might want to re-think, re-read and then re-think again before you send.

you best have every angle covered because your fuckin with peoples livelyhoods. Some deserve it tho....but its best to exhaust all other options before boldly just attempting to trash someone online.

this comes to mind...

Lightspeed is, technically, my "competiton". I tell people all damn day,"They sell really great stuff for prices that're way below what you should be paying!" They sell direct replacement parts like the chain guide shown above for less than the dealer cost of some other parts from other companies that are A LOT like it.

$57 for that chain-guide bracket is a bargain.

Go get the new plastic rub-block and be happy.

Btw, we'll have something available soon for the new Japanese 450s and the wholesale price will be waaaaay more than $57! Here's a quick phone-pic of the 2018 RMZ part that'll retail for about $199 with a rub-block.

So, in closing, call'em back and apologize.

Lightspeed is a very good company and has supplied many oem's with most if not all of their carbon fiber at one time or another.

So, customer orders part that doesn’t include parts not in online description. Customer receives parts as described but not including parts they assumed, customer trashes company online.

Screen shot of swing arm assembly for a 18 CRF450R. Guide and rubber block are separate parts. This thread should go to the dumbgeon ASAP.

Really? I mean I agreed up until the Thumpertalk comment. The bike-specific sections there are pretty damn productive and informative.

Your thread title doesn't match your complaint. What does the quality of their carbon have to do with the fact that you can't brain?

I'd say redundancies are inherent to popular forums.

If I order a complete exhaust system from Rocket Exhaust can I expect a new set of exhaust valves and valve springs to come with it? The description says "complete exhaust system" after all...

No but is should state exactly what is included and the part should fit correctly. Does that answer your question?

If you are trying to clamp your brake line to your chain guide there are some much larger issues that need to be looked at.

I concur, I looked at their website and nowhere did it say that it comes with new valves or valve springs. I should check the description from the manufacturer more closely from now on.
