I wasn't there and the camera angle didn't catch many riders hitting that section. Was he the only one doing that? It was bad ass !

It seemed like all the tall riders had it down! Plessinger was getting it up too and it wouldn't surprise me if Deano had the best style doing it. That guy knows how ride that rear wheel!! haha

If not, it is 100% worth it just to watch Davi ride... He was fucking on it!

I had the privilege of seeing it in person, about 10 feet away, through the sand rollers at Gopher Dunes... blew me away. Davi is one talented rider.

Does anyone have a link to Millsaps pass in the corner where he rocketted under someone really fast? I cant remember if it was in the heat or the main but it was the most Pourcellian thing ive seen for a while

it was in his heat race and yes that was the sickest inside carve I have ever seen. Sooo fast.

Yeah I saw that to and it was sick. I have no clue how he didn't wash out. He had so much speed and cut down so hard. It really was awesome!

I was sitting right behind that section and I will tell you that more than a handful of guys were doing that same rhythm that Davi was doing, but most would only do it once or twice then stopped. I will also say that on TV, that section looks WAY gnarlier than in person. it was pretty flat. I was sitting with a spotter for KTM and heard him say that doubling the second triple and launching into that roller section was just as quick as doing the regular rhythm which was odd...

Back in the early 2000's when I was on 80s, I got to go to Davi's place in Cairo and ride for a few days. This is long before MTF started and Davi was still on good terms with his mom. I was friends with and EVS rep who was good friends with Davi and he said Colleen would have private training sessions with a friend and I. So for a weekend I got to hang out with Davi and Bryan Johnson, they were super cool. We went to Tallahassee to see a movie at the mall, I think it was one of the Fast and the Furious movies or something. We screwed around on pit bikes and rode them down the road to Carmichael's track. He wasn't there but we snuck a few laps in on the pit bikes. Colleen wore us out with exercising and bike drills for a few hours then we had some time to free ride. Davi's Suzukis were all worn out and Carlos wasn't there for some reason that weekend so he suited up and rode one of Bryan's KX 125s. That was pretty awesome to see. We would pull off and watch by one of the big doubles as he ripped around the track. He actually pulled his pants down and mooned us over the big double. I'll never forget that. He let me pick out one of his No Fear jerseys and signed it for me before I left. I'll have to get a picture and post it when I get home.
