2018 FC450
Thanks to 3brosracing. I'm coming off a 17' YZ450 and I had a deposit for the 18' yz450 but since it keeps getting pushed back for delivery, I couldn't resist and stopped by 3brosracing in Costa mesa and picked up this beauty! First time riding a husky and now I understand the price difference!Photo

Yes they do Henry!! I love everything Husky now days. Their look alone is what I really dig....on top of just being some badass bikes!

Congrats AT !! Hope you dig your new scooter!

And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Sick bike man, congrats. Ride review soon please. And maybe compare it to bikes you have owned or ridden.

Thanks Vital members! Love the bike

As far as the ride report goes, the husky is a all around great bike. It does everything very well.

Motor., it pulls down low and keeps going., My 17' yz450 was fast! I had a gytr head and exhaust and it revved very fast and pulled hard. The husky is a silent missile, best way to describe it from my opinion. It does have that explosive hit but it pulls vurses spinning the wheels.

Suspension I set the sag at 105mm and 3rd line on the clamps. After a few moto's I can tell that I made the right choice going on the KTM I mean Husky.. it goes into ruts, doesn't want to stand up and very stable. Flat corners are not going to be feared any longer! The suspension action the bike will need to be revalved for my weight and ability., approx 165lbs A rider. But stock wise I can definitely race this! My yz had Enzo suspension and that is very hard to beat, 22mm clamps and even though I had a good setup, in turns I wasn't as confident as my new husky.

I will be riding it more before I send it off to Enzo and will be getting some nice parts on this thing!

Thoughts vs 450? I have a '14 250sx and really want to add a 350. Right now it's between a new 250sx or tc and a new 350

I'll add a question, as I'm interested in the 350 also. How does the Husky vs Yamaha in engine braking ?

Engine breaking is a big difference compared to the yz. The husky is some what 2 stroke feeling when I let off the throttle., the yz did have good amount of engine breaking but I didn't mind it since it slowed me down going into corners.

are you trying to be a smart ass with your thread title? or just ignorant to the whole "spoke with my wallet" and the 2 stroke renaissance? it doesn't seem like you are being a smart ass.

Why would you use a phrase without knowing it's reference? ...thats puzzling to me

anyway, sweet ride...and welcome to the darkside!

Exactly!! Seems the majority of Vitards have no clue that "speaking with your wallet" APPLY'S TO BUYING NEW 2-STROKES ONLY!! I think the OP falls into this category.

If anyone came on here after buying a new bike and said, this thing sucks compared to my old bike, I'd say, don't ever be a politician! Its new and your mind will make it better regardless, or at least I hope so.

I loved the new 450 and 350, and would definitely go 4 stroke if I were to get serious about racing again.

However, I just want to have FUN and that's what this bike is. There's something quite appealing about 2 stroke simplicity.

I also share this bike with my dad, and he is more in control of a lighter feeling bike. With the 450 I think things can go wrong fast if you get tired and you're not on your A game.

Thinking about it, if I was buying just for me I'd have probably come away with the 350.

The 300 kit & "factory" ignition arrives soon, will report back on how it rides.

If youve got an 18 then that means mine can't be too far off getting to Australia!!!!! I'm so keen, I definitely spoke with my wallet also. 1 question not related to performance... How fluorescent are the fork guards? Its hard to tell in the stock photos and I want to finalise my graphics before the bike gets here.

Speaking with your wallet means making a statement to the industry by spending money on a product you believe in.

Technically, buying a 20 year old 2 stroke doesn't send such a strong message to bike manifacturers, other than you can't afford a new one.

Buying a new two stroke would contribute to the manufacturers interest in keeping them in production, but whether you like it or not, buying a new 4 stroke is also sound some wallet speaking.
