I honestly think the highlight of the event for me was seeing the RAK crew going absolutely nuts every run!Grinning Seriously, that's what it's all about right there, those guys were awesome.

Seth505 and I are friends with the main RAK dude (stands for Random Acts of Kindness). The big bald bastard. He's a great guy, super positive and just wants to do a bit to help out good guys (like AJ, fellow CT'er).

We used to roadrace supermotos with him (the big bald bastard) back in New England. Good times for sure. He still races motards. Was nice to bump into him at RBSR and was happy to the camera enjoyed seeing him to. The guy is just full throttle PMA all the time.

For those dudes, seeing 'their' rider having the best night of his career, was about as good as it gets.

Oh btw, we all know AJ is a true privateer on the SX circuit. While standing talking to the RAK fellas I looked down and saw AJ's Tech 10's were basically so worn out the inner seams that rub against the frame were all blowing out. They were SMOKED, but he was there riding in them, at the biggest night of his career, because that's all he had.

Happy for that crew. Great night.

It’s cool he liked the post.

That being said, some of the guys in here sound like TMZ gossipers straight up.

James is a rad dude though.

Not trying to rag on James or be a downer, but it kinda sucks that one of the most iconic riders of this sport is now so far removed that it's a major event when he likes an instagram post.

Yep. It's borderline obsessive. I mean, everyone knows he's still alive. He's just not racing dirt bikes. He "liked" an Instagram post for crying out loud.

BFD? No, for sure, but also yeah, in a sense. You know how it goes.

I think it's cool that James liked the post. AJ and crew put together a well-done tribute (even though AJ seems to struggle with his scrubs, lol), and it's neat that James recognized it. I'm not holding my breath, but maybe someday James will deal with whatever disdain he has for the sport and make a return on some level (announcing, more events for the kids, etc.) Look how much fun RV is having without the pressure. The dude is missed by many; there is no denying that.

Nope, he certainly doesn't. It is, however, really cool when legends like James Stewart stay somewhat involved in the sport that thay helped elevate to a new level.

James can’t even like an Instagram post without catching flack for it.
I don't see anyone giving him flack. We're laughing at the op of this thread.

People under appreciate the effect of all the crap, racial and orherwise, Stew experienced. He may have had his fill of the moto “family” for a lifetime. He already was guarded while he was still racing, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that he’s not involved.

Do you know what would be cool. If he just rode that bike a few laps on a outdoor track. Not really being fast but just as a farewell video. Him cruuzing on this bike with then flashes of his achievements, then he goes into the garage takes the 450 Kawasaki and does a cruzing lap on track (if he can do a safe lap on SX then SX otherwise MX) and then all the achievements with that bike but also a few lows, then going to the Yamaha and ending with Suzuki.

Wouldn't that being a nice farewell to the sport and a nice promo for Seven gear too.

Here is an actual post online for the “James didn’t deal with racism” bunch. I screenshotted it directly from the above post.

It’s sickening that people are still racist in 2018, especially towards a such a legend of the sport we love. I’m a fan of Stew, but I respect that he’s either burnt out, pissed off, or both, and just needs some alone time and family time.

It’s probably a breath of fresh air to just live a normal life, run a company, raise a family, and stay out of the spotlight. I feel that when and if his kids start riding, then he will start becoming more relevant, but until then, he’s just doing his own thing, and good for him. Being in a pressure cooker for so long probably left a sour taste in his mouth. And after the adderrall thing, he probably said fuck the sport and that was that. That’s what I believe at least.

Threads like this are why he doesn't talk to the public...imagine what a clown show this seems like to him. Leave the guy alone and let him like an Instagram post without there being a press release. Literally each time he does anything it becomes a bigger and bigger deal, and it being a big deal, is why he stays offline. Think about it, a bunch of grown men obsessing over what another grown man is doing on the internet.
