i know this has been bought up before but not sure if it was a specific thread???

when you look at it seriously

the sport is fcked if they do..
both sides of the pond, down under, the us roof etc etc

and history says they will at some point.
if you look at whats been booted from all/most advertising already:, tobacco, alcohol, caffine has to be next..

so, anyone got the next step?
wheres all those marketing gurus that were springing up in some recent threads?

id hate to see mx die down further and further.

.

It's not that bad, I can't see caffeine being booted. The majority of TV commercials you see are for beer/liquor companies, caffeine including the coffee giants. Really the only thing gone is Tobacco. I think you are reaching a little on this thread.

Pulling out would cause a huge load of issues. It would cause the sport to file for child support and grow up without a daddy.

I think energy drink companies will probably leave about the same time 4-strokes do. Then it’ll be electric bikes sponsored by ecig companies.

Companies like Lucas Oil will pick it up. Maybe not to the level of Monster, but they will support it.

Go to a supercross; I have to think that Hurley, Affliction, and whomever makes white sunglasses and flat brimmed hats would be drooling at the opportunity to support the series.

With the E Bike revolution, it'll be Duracell, Die Hard, Energizer, and Interstate.

"I'd like to thank the Interstate Batteries Kawasaki team for all the hard work on my KX-E this week..."

None of this will matter when Supercross becomes Chinese. Plenty of money, comrades!

I want it on record that I personally had nothing to do with that, nor do I affiliate with that party.

BTW, fun fact, that law was thought of by a 10 year old that wanted to save the turtles....

Target was one of Ryan Dungey main sponsors. There are large companies that will fill the void, there may be a few down years though. 3M would be a good sponsor. Microsoft has shown interest before.

Sponsorship is an issue in lots of places. There are a lot of big NASCAR teams wondering where the money went.

Lowes (Jimmie Johnson) and 5 Hour Energy (Martin Truex) are just a couple of the sponsors that went away this year. With the loss of 5 Hour Energy, Truex's team will be closing down.

We're lucky that the energy drink companies love MX/SX the way that they do. Will life go on (albeit at a different level) if they go away? Yes.

MX/SX was here long before the energy drinks came on board and it will still be here long after they are gone.Enjoy it while it lasts and I like the Monster energy logos every where and think they look cool.

Weed, casinos, and vaping seem to be the only fields growing (1/3 of a pun intended).

All those would probably run into issues with sponsorship so we would be forced to find other strong industries to sign up.

All the real money seems to be in areas that cater to the aging baby boomers.
