I always thought that specifically referred to the old baseball/football stadium. That place was a POS.

Any mention of Cleveland wouldn't be complete without this little tidbit.

... The Cuyahoga River in Cleveland became heavily affected by industrial pollution, so much so that it "caught fire" at least 13 times, most famously on June 22, 1969 ...

My wife and I were laughing when we got into the city and saw the concrete walls lining the highway occasional say "Cleveland" ,the joke was that it was actually a warning not to get out of your if you break down.

Cleveland isn’t that bad.....but Rays is awesome. You can rent bikes. Whole family can go. They got a huge trail loop. All Inside. 100,000 sq feet. Every year they add more. Can’t imagine anyone could thumbs this place down. It literally has everything. For the family. For the pro. For the common guy with no experience. Love this place. $25 includes your rental of a bike and access your first time. I think. It’s cheap. Totally worth it. And not super busy on weekdays. https://youtu.be/uqCioZvswx4

Tri -C has many locations throughout Cleveland - 7 or 8 total I think.
Do you know where you'll be?
East, West, Metro, the UTC? a satellite office?

To be clear, you're asking where to park the fam so they will able to WALK to attractions during the day?

I'm asking where would be best to get a hotel so they can leave the hotel and walk around for stuff to do. Preferably somewhere with some stores and restaurants close by. More importantly, somewhere safe. I know it's not easy, but for example if anyone had questions about where to stay in Pittsburgh that has nice hotels and nice shopping districts close by I could give some recommendations.

Try looking around the great northern mall in North Olmsted or Crocker Park in Westlake. A little longer drive to work for you but maybe better for the family.
