I will leave the company name out, but I purchased a second knife from them. First go around no problems... this time I am second guessing the purchase. Paid in full back at the beginning of March for a hand made one of a kind knife that has been on my bucket list. Reason being for paying in full outside of trusting their work, I was hoping they would bump me up. Didn't ask and only hoped. They were up front with me about production starting in June.

Issue is I want this knife and it's now July. Paid 600 plus up front for this knife I've lusted after for many years. Spoke with the gentleman who was nice enough to call me instead of vise versa, but it's still not in production. Said it would start 2 weeks ago....hasn't.

Would you ask for a refund, ask to make it right, or sit tight on an item you want?

Bucket list, hand made, thought you could break in line, waited this long.....I would hang in there for a while longer.

I paid up front for a Stargazer Cast Iron skillet back in December for an April delivery. They claim to be working with a new foundry now and was supposed to get a late April and then June delivery. Here we are in July and nothing. It may never happen. Fortunately it was only around $100.00. I'll show you my nonexistent skillet if you show me the knife.

Nice and I'm jealous. Love some cast iron! Here is the knife. Imagine 6 inches and a good hefty piece of stag.

Glad I didn't prepay Eddie for this kit. That's been posted for at least 2 years, I called in '14, and they were "working on it".

I guess it comes from me working in the project management field. Deadlines are set and risks are brought to the table throughout the process. They are worked around to meet deadlines. Communication is a key component and would have appreciated communication around any risks with not meeting the production date in June. Lesson learned by me about paying in advance.

Handmade man. You don't NEED it right now, and what you want is perfection. Give him some time to get your knife right, and all the others that are also behind schedule.
Getting stressed about the time line is going to make you dislike the knife before you even get it.
