Nice! I must have missed build 3. I'll have to go look for it. I love the cracked lacquer finish.

Sort of a Strat hybrid. I love the Strat sound but wanted a carve top without the plastic pick guard.

Very nice. Did you tint the lacquer or dye the wood first? I like the subtle burst.

Tint. What I have been doing is first get it sealed in clear then tint, then finish clear. It allows me to back up if I didn't like the way the tinted layer came out. I'm also discovering that you were right about waiting to buff out. With solid bodies you can easily have 12 coats. You gotta wait even though the lacquer seems hard.
