I had applied for this year's Pike's Peak race a few months back. Bought a new bike and everything just for that race. last week they called one of my references and my reference told me to pack my bags, that I was in. He said it sounded like I was going to make it after his discussion. But, I got word a couple of days ago that I din't make the cut. I guess I can't feel too bad. There are only 6 bikes listed in the heavyweight class (the one I entered). Last years record setter Chris Fillmore is the only American in the 6. Ducati has two of the 6 slots reserved with no names listed in them. Yesterday I put a new exhaust on and did a little dyno work:
But the bike and new exhaust looks really sweet! What were the dyno numbers?
The Shop
Fillmore was decent "B" mx'er so I think you'll have'em covered !!!
They probably did a Google search and saw him on Vital MX and his dribble..... ?
But yeah that's an awesome machine I can only imagine what that motor must be like.
There was a very active member on the FZ forum and I imagine he's on a new KTM forum as well he goes by the name of grommet. Cool guy and very helpful and knowledgeable with bikes.
Anyway he had a Low slide crash on his FZ1 at the track and instead of fixing it he parted it out. ?
He found one of those KTM's in the Hollywood area with some blingy ugly gold wheels and stuff and he lives in Oklahoma where it's very flat and not many twisties, he was determined to buy that bike I thought he was nuts as the FZ is a great sport tour and he likes to ride many miles.
He flew out there and rode the bike back In The Heat Of Summer but from what I gather he really likes it.
Must be a freaking torque monster!
