What happened to the good old days when you could go park somewhere with ol lady and throw her legs up on the dash and not do thousands in damage .

Not much will hurt ole Fido. If I can get Newmann to shoot a layer of some Brand-X single-stage, I may just break it in with a romp with the ole lady.

If I were getting a new Ram/Dodge truck, this is what I'd want. I'd have a hard time swallowing the price tag, though.....

It's the Tesla dash look. For some reason the manufacturers think we need this garbage.

Glad the 2019 F-150 I'm buying soon has a nice, normal dash. It's time to pass my 2006 on to my Son.

That's my 2006 F-150. I'm not skimping on power windows and door locks this time. Laughing

Shame because the truck itself is looking pretty good. Thinking of going back to a 3/4 ton and a toyhauler trailer since getting rid of the motorhome.

Looking at the new Ford Super Duty trucks, those seem to have a 8 inch lift on them stock. Have a new 18 in the shop and that thing is up there. I have no idea how you would load and unload bikes, a pallet of ceramic tile, river rock, lumber....damn near useless. We were looking at it trying to figure out how much it could be lowered before it started to look odd. Laughing

I have seen quite a few people who have always had diesels going back to gas with the new trucks as well.

I did the exact opposite, when moving from a 1/2 to 3/4 ton back in 2016. The diesel truck market is crazy, bought a brand new 2016 loaded duramax for over 20% off sticker. Traded in on an 18 22 months later.... Lets just say it cost me about 100$ a month to own it,a nd its currently for sale for more than I paid for it new, with 28k on the clock.

I would not want to drive a 3/4 gas truck around with 4.10's, you'd get horrid fuel eco. This L5P is louder in the truck than the LML was though. Work in auto industry in powertrain as an engineer.

Guess that depends on what you call horrid. My '15 2500 with the 6.4 gasser and 4.10s gets about what I expect for a work truck with low gears. I didnt buy it to be an economy ride, I got it to work and tow stuff occasionally.

They are getting praise, the others will go toward that. Personally I like the big computer looking screen, you can configure it out how you like.

That said, I am glad I bought a new 2017 Ram as the new body hasn't grown on me. The tiny headlights make the front look like a car.

Have you had any issues from yours? Needing something new quiet and clean for a baby seat in the back and the coal burners shake and loud as you know.

Also, is it very flat ground there or do you keep buying tailgates?

Only issue I had was a cosmetic nit-pick on body panel alignment, (most people wouldnt even notice but Im OCD) I wasnt happy with the hood/fender margins but Newmann fixed that for me in about 45 minutes.

Mechanically its been perfect for 3+ years now.
