Muscle and classic car roll call...

There is a monthly car show in the Perimeter Mall (Dunwoody, GA) parking lot the first Sunday of every month. It’s called Caffeine and Octane. It is supposed to be the largest monthly car show in the country. Lots of cool cars.

Well...I know these aren’t classics, but they are definitely muscle. Last couple business trips I’ve been renting Dodge Challengers and fallen in love with them. They don’t handle great and are heavy, but even the 5.7 is an HP beast. I am hoping to pick up a 392 or Hellcat later this year..

Another nice one. Was always an old school nut for those Mustangs, Camaros, and Judges.

Did that Orange 69 Z28 you posted in the past ever get a new owner? If so, do you know what they got out of it? That was pretty sweet too. Looked like it had power windows, rear air defrost, and the turn indicators in the front fenders. If they were all original items there shouldn't be many just like it.

350 4 speed.
Sweet.

Google Hajek Motorsports Museum in Ames. Oklahoma.

Probably not a bigger Ford nut around and has quite a relationship with Ford.

Cars of this era need hardened valve sea ts ,

I work on a collection now for a old man,23 of them.

Valves won't last on unleaded.

And,Ford built 427s with sodium filled valves, heads pop right off if not replaced

I had a 2008 SRT8. Very nice cruiser. Comfortable and got over 20mpg. In the end, I like the older stuff much more though.

My 2005 Pontiac GTO that I bought in February of 2012 when I was 19. Got a really good full time job and saved up and got it. Literally dreamed of these since I first saw a commercial for them in 2004. I got it bone stock and have done Lovell’s lowering springs front & rear, VMR v703 wheels, Mickey Thompson street comp tires, mgw-p short throw shifter, Kooks stainless 1 3/4” headers, Kooks catless mids & a Corsa Sport catback. Also did a custom grind CompCam, Lunati valve springs, TrickFlow pushrods, Fast 102mm intake, NW 102mm throttle body, 46# destch werks injectors, DuSpeed cold air intake. Had a local Ohio shop put it on the chassis dyno and it made 451hp/433tq at the rear wheels. I’m very happy with it and love it to death!

had 2 69 Camaros one was a street cruiser and the other was a drag car. had nice 454 in it and ran 7.32 @ 95mph in the 1/8th on my drag radials on pump gas. sold that car to fund my 64 coupe de vile ls1/4l60e swap I am still procrastinating on. I loved hotrods in my early 20's still do but got a job at a chevy dealer as a heavy line tech and got burned out on cars for a while. i'll have to dig up some pics

I dabbled with some straight line racing before, simple door slammer stuff. The 440 we built had a lil pep in it.

The dirt track called me back though. Cool

Nah not now. They’re stored away in people’s garages. They will be collecteable in more years. I love the HT 68-69 Monaro’s.
