Eh. Not like some drivers get sent home.. Everybody makes it in.
Used to be 60 to 80 cars and these races mean something.
But.the car body skewed the opposite of what they have used could be some crashing.
Starts at 7 pm east fs1.

And the no ride height rule .
They are lowering the rear to get the spoiler out the air and then skewing the body to the inside at the rear to get the right side of the spoiler out the air more.
And using the track bar adjustment by the driver to change skew while racing.
So.the hole the lead car punches in the air is small and no draft passes can happen.
They should take away all the down force tricks and make it more like the trucks which draft pass pretty easy.
The Shop
But they all are I guess.
They should take the front splitter off.put a spoiler on to match a plateless engine so horsepower would be there to draft pass.
I watched the 88ish Talladega race. The one Bobby tore the fence down a while back. It was a great race. Lots of passing. The cara were stable and going 215 average laps with 200 less HP than a placeless engine today.
NASCAR could easily figure what drag numbers they need to reproduce that ratio and give the drivers z car that would require lifting in the corners and ability to draft pass.
But. They are stuck in the mindset of these big pack races bring in fans.
Most of the trucks are running the ilmor spec engine.
It's like the one running in ARCA .
ARCA uses a 396 not sure the CI of the truck one but it is EFI where the OEM engines are carb.
Toyota was pissed because the ilmor was faster in testing and Kyle Bush went with ilmor in his trucks.
Made a huge difference in that race. Let's side drafting passes easy. The cup cars need it.
15 minutes to green
