Well, I would consider it if I had that kind of money. I do know people who do have that kind of money and do fork it out for that kind of stuff. Sometimes I even get rides. Smile I mean shit, I just stuck 25k into a damned KTM motorcycle for crying out loud. Smile

The last few years Vette reminded me of the style of the F12 Berlinetta.
But just not that sound though.

Be a hard sell with this coming.

General Motors has revealed the fastest and most powerful factory-built Corvette ever. The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will have a 755-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged engine and a top speed, according to GM, of 210 miles an hour.

But I might as well get this started now before someone else does. Thanks to the American Taxpayer and their $11.2 billion dollars for making all this possible. Smile
What are you talking about. Obama said the taxpayer got all that money back and then some. I think it was right after he said my health insurance would go down $2500/yr. Laughing
If it's any consolation though they screwed the secured investors for penny's on the dollar while not requiring the UAW pensions and benefits to take any conssessions to help restructure. So I guess UAW tax payers got their money back so to speak.

Yes, but the new ones are pretty bad ass for what they are, the performance, and price.
Being very similar in look, the comparable car would be the F12 Berlinetta at 3 times the price.
Horsepower: 455 to 650 hp
MPG: Up to 16 city / 25 highway
Engine: 6.2 L V8
vs
MPG: 12 city / 16 highway
Horsepower: 731 hp
Engine: 6.3 L V12

Theybetter hope they dont put a blower like thje Vette or turbo on the Ferrari, it will have a 1,000! Still, for the money, the Vette is an impressive ride.

I'd buy one, and I think American "Sports Cars" are garbage. Mustangs, Camaros, that ugly ass hellcat, all scream wannabe to me.
The Viper was up there, but I could just never like the look of it.

Dodge should have dropped the V10 into something cool looking, kinda Nissan GT-R-ish or something. Probably why it is a dead car now.

Back when the ZO6 was the hot Vette with the LS7, they were fetching ridiculous prices. My buddy waited a couple years and easily found one with 1200 miles on it for 1/2 the original sticker. Most vettes end up being purchased new by someone who takes it to golf on Sundays and back into the garage. Unless you just have to have a new one, the best deal on Vettes comes 1-3 years down the road.

Rhino meant that Chevy should hope Ferrari doesn't put a blower on their car.

You didn't read my post very clearly. I posted they better hope Ferrari doesnt put a blower or turbo on their car, because it will have a 1,000 then instead of 730.

New vettes are sick ,I'd be happy with an early 2000s with a 6 speed and some suspension work.

I don't see how the 18 will sell very well if the 19 is going to be a mid engine.

To be honest, I think the current style is bad ass and VERY Ferrari F12 looking.
However car enthusiasts say it doesn't. EIther way, a Vette will never sound like this.

Vette fan here and not old or grey. However, I will say I do not like the rumors of a mid engine. Pretty cool article, but it still feels too European which in my opinion is not what I think about when I think of vette.

Sorry about that. Smile The new Tesla roadster is putting out 1500hp. But it's twice the price too.

Then they need to quit. New generation is definitely moving away from the vette norm.

Never paid much attention to Corvettes until I got to drive one (a Z06). Fun car, damn the stereotypes.

Cool car, but its price is not.
12/4/2017 4:10am
I kinda disagree...For what you’re getting the price is very cheap....you can get a base model vette for around 54,000. Not bad!

Agree. If you got the money and want to buy new then that's great. If not, you can pickup low mileage vette's for a great price.

My buddy from work bought a new one last year, like 650 HP and it's an amazing car for 100k.
