I work pretty close to their store.

Cool store...but it's mostly just a tourist stop, not really for shopping.

If you are still in the area, I highly checking out Moto Armory which is only about 20 minutes from Leclaire. Moto-Armory.com

I love the show and the places they get to go and see and people they meet it's a cool concept and they are the original ones who made it to the boob tube successfully.

Good for them my only problem is they're on late at night and I find myself not being able to turn it off when I need to go to sleep hahahaGrinning

They would have to. A lot of costs associated with traveling around and picking.

There was an episode of American Pickers that Mike and Frank picked ex pro mx'er Guy Cooper's parents old bicycle and motorcycle shop.

OP, cool post!

A big chunk of the price of the stuff they sell is for "driving to nowhere and climbing in a rat / snake / spider / who knows what nest to find some trinket". If I had to climb on those rickety ass sheds in the middle of summer, I'd be asking a chunk, too.

It is a great show and I have learned a bunch of history from that show and others like it. Some of thier offers for those items are very high which may be a bit staged but if not then they hook the previous owners up pretty well. Mike will grab an old rusty headlight can and offer $500. The guy trys to act casual but can tell he is surprised at the high offer, then he finds the lense and offers 700 for the can and lense. Not lowballing and that is cool too.
