Sorry if this is just another Covid thread that may need deleted but I wanted to get some Vital members opinions.

If you could get the shot today would you do it? Sounds like Russia has the first vaccine but they are being criticized for rushing things. Thoughts?

No way in hell.
Down the line, perhaps. It seems to me the vaccine is being rushed. I’m not willing to be a lab rat while the pharmaceutical companies are still figuring out side effects.
Just like the commercials. It sounds great till the end of the script.

I will not take a vaccine until it has been through the appropriate process. I.e stage 3 trials and then approval from my countries approving body the TGA (our version of the FDA)
Once something goes through that, sign me up.

I believe in the scientific process, this vaccine has completely bypassed the the process, so obviously a firm no to the Russian vaccine.

Side note: Early’s Top Gun post made me literally laugh out loud.

It's doubtful that the Russian vaccine would ever get approved by most western countries so it's not like we'd have a choice in taking it..

I think it's likely that by sometime next year they'll be several different vaccines approved and so that'll be the real choice we'd have to make. As it stands my money's on the Oxford University/Jenner Institute vaccine as they have genuine public health credentials and started working on thier vaccine way back on 11 January, weeks before the first case was reported in the UK.

This is a good trial run to get everyone used to not listening to pandemic guidelines and safety. So when they release the virus that drops people like flies no one will listen and quarantine

So the country that said initially they basically had no problems with coronavirus and it wasn’t in Russia. When it was rampant in Russia. Now all the sudden is the first one to have a vaccine? So they were late to the party to even start looking for a vaccine because they were too busy saying they didn’t have the problem. But now they got the vaccine? Callin bulllllllllshit.

Coronavirus has been around for a long time. Discovered back in 1930. Usa pulled the funding for coronavirus vaccine after MERS back in 2014 went non-existant. Russian military kept on working. Lab that made a vaccine is heavily involved with military and big companys working in Africa. They have vaccine for Ebola too for energy company employies working in Africa.
People mistake coronavirus for Covid-19. They think it`s unique.

Serious question and would like a serious answer.

Why the hate towards Gates? Is he producing a vaccine?

If he’s donating towards research, what’s the issue?
